If you feel like giving a reason, state it so. I like only a few series, and view most of it as getting special treatment because of the artwork style, ignoring bad story/bad dialogue. For the most part, I view it as crap. Note: This is not a thread to flame someone else for their tastes. Post only your opinion of anime and anime series, and nothing more. If there are more then two flames, I will simply close the thread.

I find it bareable. I would rather read the manga then watch the anime, though...

Some anime is good, but its trenchcoat-wearing-corporation-hating zealots do their best to ruin it for everyone else.

I think it depends on the anime too. Some animes are good like Rurouni Kenshin for my opinion. Manga can be better though. But some mangas and anime just ruin it like for example.... hmmm i cant think of any right now. But i didnt vote

I hate any and every show where the main character refuses to kill (Kenshin and Trigun).

I deny that. Kenshin is cool because he still beats them up for them to quiver in fear and die of it. As for trigun, Lets just say I like the guns in there.

I'd much prefer watching the Anime, but manga is also good in its ways.

Anime is Great, its like trying a new food, you vomit a while after you've eatin it, but you liked it anyway.

Anime is also many genres, such as Cyber punk (Gits:SAC), comedy (GTO!!), drama (eh, Cromartie High?), Action (Gundam Wing), Adventure (pokèmon..), Mystery (Teh CaSe ClosEd).

But, its just the style that Anime is in, you have these Japanese characters swung at your T.v. Screen and you dont understand what those sgwiggily (spelling?) lines mean, is mainly why many people dont watch anime. Another factor, would be the animation itself.

I, personally enjoy Anime. Why? Its fun, the characters make you feel warm inside, and you can laugh your ass off. Its just foreign cartoons, but one of the most adicting foreign cartoons out there.

One thing I have noticed: the people who claim to hate anima often like it.


But Boxer vs. Yellow OGN finals is better than any anime.

I like some, but not all.

However, anime is my friends religion. Seriously.

I didn't watch many series, but I enjoyed these:
Digimon (only the first part, the rest suck)
ShinChan (funny, but too repetitive after I watched most of the serie)
Sakura The CardCaptor (yeah, I enjoyed that anime )
Inuyasha (a very good anime, too bad I couldn't see the full serie )
Bobobo (looks like a serie for little kids, but it's pretty funny. It's one of those series that you'll never understand)
Naruto (I'm reading the comics that my brother buys. It's a very good anime)
DragonBall (I used to enjoy this, but it gets repetitive after a while too).
Cowboy Bebop (It was a nice serie. I specially enjoyed an episode where the find a virus in the fridge )
Yu Yu Hakusho (An awesome anime serie. Maybe a bit long... but really cool )

Well, that's all I can think of right now.

I can't see much anime on the TV cause I only have about 10 TV channels and only on one of them they make anime (the one that comes from barcelona ).

Im gonna be honest, i hate the anime crap they bring on cartoon network, except for Dragon Ball Z(And you should all pay your respects to DBZ, cuz if it wasnt for it there would be no amine in America like it is today, LIKE NO WHERE NEAR.) Champloo(or whatever its called) is about the best they had, that and Cowboy Bebop, the others are childish and for kids just getting into anime, i like the kind where its no-holds barred anime, like prime time, and has a nice story to it, even tho gundam only fills one of the critera i like that too, but only the original not the others(which included G Gundam, Wing Gundam, and the other craps). Yea if there is nothing on TV to watch, i catch some gay ass anime like kenshin and the one with the cat-demon-ninja-samurai thing goin on, but its nothing i would consider myself a fan of.

I would rather chop off my wrists than watch an episode of anime. Its the most pathetic crap, and all of the 4th graders are addicted to it. (*COUGHSOMEPEOPLEINSEN*COUGH)

I just hate it.

But I hate cartoons too, so maybe that contributes a bit...

I can handle watching anime, but thats just every once in a while. Inside I hate it though, the only anime I truly liked was DBZ, thats because there were some twists in that. In other anime, the good guy ALWAYS wins no matter WHAT. In DBZ, people died so often, which put more excitement to the show!

Damn straight. But I did like Digimon, 1st and 2nd seasons. Watched a little 3rd but stopped halp-way through. Also liked Pokemon( what kid didn't[ except EzDay]?) but it stopped being good at Indigo Plateau.



I think RoboTech contiributed to this also, but a lot by Pokemon(yes, admit it!).

most of it is crap, until you run across a good story line; Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star...*loves Space Operas*...anything by Miyazaki...

DBZ tis a silly show.
1. The world is about to end
2. Goku levels up
3. Vegeta gets pissed
4. Goku shows mercy
5. Bad guy comes back stronger
6. Goku beats his ass.
7. wash and repeat as many times as necessary.

DBZ? DBZ?! Dear God, I'd rather watch Digimon. Atleast there are some weird neat-looking things in that, even if 99% of them are unrealistic, excessive, or just plain stupid.

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head that I like would be Cowboy Bebop.

Well, I don't really like much anime, simply because many of the characters in them remind me of comic book heros in how they act. I never really got into comics either.
Anyway, the coolest anime I've ever seen was Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

I like a few anima.. and usually not all parts. I kind of like hakusho, like the rouroni kenshin guy, kind of like SOME parts of db(z)(gt) No idea why.

The only good mainstream anime I've every seen are: Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, uh... Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex, ... er ... I'm thinking ... oh yeah Samurai Champloo. Cartoon Network is getting smarter when it comes to anime, just give them more time and I'm sure they'll bring over more good anime.

And the fact Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo are made by the same people should say something as well.

Some of them I don't like. Most anime that gets dubbed sucks a lot. I never watched Cowboy Bebop or Samurai Champloo but I won't if its on CN because dubbing makes it suck. I'd rather watch it in Japanese with subtitles. Naruto was okay at beginning but now I think it's too slow and sucks. The one I mainly watch now is Bleach. Pretty cool show and it's barely at 39 so you're not so far behind. Kenshin was a pretty cool anime also. I didn't watch whole series though. Only up to end of Shisio. I would watch Full Metal Alchemist but I can't find the downloads for them. The CN version of it the voices just sound real funny. Anyways I voted good.

God, there's a really good rant about how these dumbass fans have to hear the "voice identations" and how that's really ing stupid BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT WORD THEY'RE SAYING IN THAT PARTICULAR TONE OF VOICE, BECAUSE SOMETIMES THE TRANSLATION TAKES WHAT IS THREE WORDS IN JAPANESE AND TURNS IT INTO FIVE WORDS FOR ENGLISH, THE SENTENCE STRUCTURE IS DIFFERENT AND THERE ARE EVEN WORDS FOR WHICH THERE IS NO DIRECT ENGLISH EQUIVALENT!!!!!

LOL im japanese and i fully agree with u, i cant understand a things its saying and its like Konichiwa blah blah blah Kenshin-san and the translation is like Hello Kenshin

meh i vote bareable i dont like most anime; i only liked bebop, and parnoia agent just because its so weird (especially that talking pink doll) but a lot of people that i know dont like it, i dont know why...
