Onomotopieas are not slang. It is a word whos definition is the same as its sound. Like "Shoop, Bang, Whoosh, Narf, Hoight" And of course Moo, Meow, and Bark.

(sorry for the Narf and Hoight, not everyone would get that) Anyhow I do belive they would still be considered words.
