well yes so is half life 2, the sims, fallout, starcraft, warcraft 3, warcraft 2, diablo, fallout 2, gish, the sims 2, all the sims exspansion packs
just a very small list of what you seam to think of as "free" games

They arent mmorpgs and I meant free as in after you buy it you can connect to a server which isnt limited to 8 players without having to pay a subscription fee, and judging by your tone
QUOTE
yes because guild wars is both free and browser based.....

please keep this list to games that reqire no download AND are free with out paid subsription  censored.gif  where people that spend money are placed higher than everyone else

You were obviously angry.

For the best MMORPGs that are free go to joycity.com but, it's all Korean, so for you guys who don't know how to read Korean or don't know a person who does, your missing out on the best games ever.

Well, ill tell you one popular game but it isnt web browser based. And its free tongue.gif

http://www.soldat.pl

Its pretty addictive shooting game. Even thought its 2D. You can play it free with some restrictions that you dont really need to worry about. But if you register which is $9 you can get some cool character changing effects ect.

Should you ever get bored of the game, you can download cool theme mods based on different game characters like Starwars, Halo, Rainbow Six, and more.

Here are some screenshots of what the game looks like.

Depends. Thing's like skylords, scrpg, kings of chaos, ect were made in PHP, while things like runescape were made in java.

What about Battleon which has Adventure quest. Is that made through PHP? If so any are there any manuals out there that can help you learn this stuff?

www.totallyscrewed.net Well...it has free downloadable games based on zombie killing. They are somewhat lengthy demos, and purchasing is the only way to get the whole experience. Oh and www.theflashgames.com and www.2flashgames.com NOTE!!!!: Some mature games

Does anyone know why the adventure quest players shot up? It used to be around 3000 when I joined.. but now its like average 8000 and the server is always full.. I try everyday.

I think all Online games should be free... In some ways it shouldn't.. See for games like Final Fantacy 11 they need it. I would love it if it was free but its not. It just makes sense how they charge you. Starcraft i'm glad you don't have to pay or i would have never got it. It would never be worth the price. So to a certain Extent it should be free. I hope you know what i mean.

Bah, no games should be P2P...who cares what the people pay to host them thats their problem, hehehe thats what free servers are for cheers.gif anyways, the online games I usualy play are Ragnarok, and Gunbound.(Untill my friend stole my F***ING ACCOUNT ON BOTH!) so yea...

Gunbound sucks now. You cannot buy items now as a hook to keep people playing. In fact, the items are merely rented and expire within a week (for the cheapest price).

This is a really bad decision on Softnyx's part because I saw about 100 or so clans simultaneously quit the same day GB:WC was released. Each guild had around 100 or so players in them so that was around 1000 players quitting within 1 day. This was that I noticed. Of course, the people who were obsessed still get to keep their godly items forever as I get to keep my moneymaking items from Thor's Hammer forever, but I can now no longer get any godly items forever without having to play for 8 or so hours a day.

Indeed, GB:WC shot itself down to the hells pit...its retarded now. I wish the left Thor Hammer so people could still play IT if they wanted.

I play alot of free online games, I played Ragnarok, I admit it sucked after a few weeks.

Gunbound: This game really gets addictive but since the new version (World Champion) came out, alot of players quit because you can't "buy" avatars anymore you burrow them, it's really stupid. You'll enjoy this for like 3 months then quit.

ROSE online: Personnaly, I think it's the best free online RPG game ever, before, they only had 3 servers and had over 5 thousand players, now they have alot more and more and more players are joining each day. You can chose characters and fight alot of monsters. There are currently 7 planets. You can even buy carts, Castle-Destroyers(robot). It's like just the best game RPG ever man (that is free of course...). I know WOW is better but if you don't wanna wast money, this is "the sh-t" for it man!

Runescape: The first time you play, you might not enjoy it, but as soon as you play for a week, you get addicted. I played for 6 months and quit (mostly because I started playing ROSE online). But you do have to pay to get the full version of it.

Post more games because I don't know alot. happy.gif
