Now, please don't get what I say confused with what someone else said. I appreciate the WCIII editor and have used it occasionaly when I have had the game. I have never said that starcraft map making would suck if we had that sort of power in our editor. I personally think we would be all the better off. I guess this may be due to my dual-background both in modding and mapmaking, but I see the power of the WC3 editor as nothing besides a blessing for that game.

Im a mac user and i oddly didnt even notice dling this patch, however the shields in the terran units with shields map were gone, one odd thing thou, that simple hp detection map still crashed sc for me..

I'm also actually happy about this.. I was getting sick of all the topics about them, and maps, and people in Op SEN talking about them...was fun to play with, but dang about time.

Wesmic: People change. Most of the poeple found them usefull since Sc Map making is Hard and need alot of creativity, People were just proud of using their brain instead of gettin' everything easilly.

Why didn't they just patch Macs instead of ruining the possibilities for everyone? I guess that would take a bit more work, but it shows how little they care about us.

Everyone in Op SEN is complaining how much they hate Blizzard, yet they continue to play their game, it's hilarious.

I believe they would have to Patch the entire memory. Anyway, how could they spread it? I don't think battle.net can detect who is playing with mac and or Pc...

Sorry about that, I'm used to people usually having a direct repsone whenever they quote another post and not usually changing subjects mid post.

Personally, I think this was for the greater good of the SC community. The amount of PC players they gained wouldn't equal the amount of mac players they will lose. Also, if they didn't patch it, it would show they don't care about mac users, which is bad for business. Lastly, they might have found out something dangerous that can be done with EUD triggers while looking into it and they decided to patch it before we discovered it.

Yeah, and after seeing you in Op SEN and whine how "gay" and "stupid" and "retarded" (etc...) Blizzard was, the feeling is mutual, so why don't you just quit using Blizzard's products if they don't care about you and you don't care about them.

They can't battle.net is shared with pc and mac users, and mac memory works differently from pc memory.


You guys should seriously take it easy on blizzard. They did what was best for them, and you guys should respect it.

My friend said that Blizzard does not want Starcraft to be like Warcraft 3 because they will just lose money, and EUD triggers makes it more like Warcraft 3.

Yoshi, I don't understand how you can be so calm about this. Yes we all love/loved blizzard for their great games and stuff. But I sure love SC and SC mapmaking very much more than blizzard. And blizzard deleted SO many new and great opportunities for us all. I think that SEN as the greatest mapper community as far as I know should at least protest and try to convince blizzard to unpach EUD.

We'll find another way around this, we always do. They have just delayed the innevitable, not stoped it

Yeah, in fact, we should re-create this :poo: every two weeks so that I can wait an extra week for BWChart and PenguinPlug to update, so all my replays can be corrupted, just so that you guys can have a week of fun using something illegal and dangerous.

If blizzard patched EUD's, they will patch anything else we come up with unless it 100% works for everyone, which it won't since it will probably use enxtended something (players, units, aliiances, etc..) and it won't work for macs.

Since Starcraft revolves around you right?

I am going to be calm. You guys act like the world is going to end. There is no reason for me to be angry and I'm trying to be an example. I'm happy that we pratically killed to the site's motto, "pushing maps to the limit", but I'm not going to let this get to me. Life will go on, and blizzard thought was this the best choice. Yes, I'm disappointed. I would have loved to see EUD triggered maps. But posting death threats in their forums isn't going to help anything. Grow up, be mature, and deal with it.

EUDs were getting kinda old for me anyways
After i saw pretty much everything you can do, besides changing weapons and loading ability it's all useless to me and ican't really find a use that would let us do anything amazing.... so i could care less, although my map is now a waste

I love Starcraft, but i hate blizzard decitions, why SC:Ghost has been delayed all this time?, why theres no announce of StarCraft 2? Why stop the users creativity saying that if u use a third party software u are going to be evil? why kill the EUD triggers instead of fix them so Mac users could use them too? why dont make at least another big upgrade to Starcraft (another expansion at least)? well i have a lot of questions, if some of u guys in SEN community find a new way to improve StarCraft, dont make it public, its better to have a few creative maps whit new adds, than having everyone talking about this and then blizzard patching it.
