Yeah, usually I try to do the assignment in the class if I do get homework (Which was rare last year)

Kow, thank you for reminding me of something.

One thing I've always hated is how as time progressed in school, the teachers took away your working time and don't tell you the assignment until AFTER the bell rings. That way, you're practically "forced" to do your homework at home.

And as we all know, home is probably the worst place to do homework. disgust.gif

Lol, get detentions. They are a GREAT way to get work done. I've only gotten like 4 in 3 years, but I wanted more since I got a lot of homework done.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Kow on 2005-08-18 at 17:13:08
Or they tell you when half the class is out of the room, and expect it to be done. I HATE that.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Shapechanger on 2005-08-18 at 18:20:54
I got detention twice, and you're dead right. I got all my homework done...
Now how to piss off the teachers without getting expelled?
My school is very strict, missing six days of school can get you expelled, as can cussing at a teacher. I should just be tardy. Get sweeped up by security (When the bell rings, all teachers lock their doors and the security guards patrol the halls and take anyone they find to the trady center.

What if I hid in the bathroom, though? Or snuck into the library through the book return? Or hid in the auto shop garage? Or circled E hall? Nah, the bicycle guard would eventually get me. Plus, people have lareayd tried all of the above so they know to look...

I think the thing is, you don't want to learn (and assuming you're extremely smart). If you did, the information would be so easy to understand and the homework would be too easy too. The teachers should easily recongize your abilities and send you to a higher level.

You don't exactley sound lazy, trying to cover isn't lazy, doing all you work in 2 minutes is lazy, then don't play games, sleep! I'm so lazy i fall asleep in the shower tongue.gif

Cheeze. Like I said, I get so bored when the teachers review the same exact things three days in a row that, to them, I just seem like your average student with a lack of sleep. I love contempory issues, though. There's no work, all we do is argue over things like abortion and god. The teacher just takes notes on us.

I think she's an alien, come to steal our brains. No, not really.

But yeah, it's not very obvious besides the fact that in Math, even when I'm not supposed to, I answer right away. It's Honors and it's still boring. The guy behind me is all 'Holy crap, this kid's smart.'

The teacher got mad at me because I wasn't giving the other students a chance at answering, so now i just mutter the answer under my breath.

JROTC...

Die you ****ing Marine Corps retard! No, I won't cut my hair! No I won't call you sir! Screw you! (Just my thoughts, I don't want to be expelled)

Phys. Ed.
*YAWN*
'Here, have a locker. Well, that's all we're doing today, go talk to your friends and kill off the other eighty minutes of class.' Except I don't have any friends you idiot.

Engine Mech.

My teacher's really freaking funny, but he's a slow paced one. Meh, I can live with him.

P.S. I hope to drop JROTC ASAP.

EDIT: For the record, I have discovered that I don't have an extreme desire to play video games at my father's house. This is wonderful news! Expecially since my mother and father are having a lawsuite and I hope to be living full time with him soon.

P.S. Please just drop anything about my parents right now.

I've never seen a happy ending from a lawsuit.

And ya, I've been called a genius by several people, yet I still get about a 3.5 gpa.
And if your grades are holding you back from higher classes, try to take corrispondance. I undestood equations for limits completely my frreshman year. Yet I only got into calculus because I took two sommer courses.

And uhh.. what is JROTC?

Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, or something really close to that...
It was the only freaking elective that wasn't filled, but they just opened up a new one (Lifeguard Training) so I'll (hopefully) be out by Monday.

EDIT: It's not really called Lifeguard Training, that's just essentially what it is.

Not in Canada. In canada gpa = average points of every subject
A = 4 points
B = 3 points
C+ = 2.5
C = 2
C- and below = nothing

I have a very good solution to this, put a small rubber band around ur wrist, whenever you even so much LOOK at the tv, xbox, gc, ps2, etc etc

either rub the rubber band up and down your arm or snap if until you can't bear it any longer.

ADDITION:
by the way, i am probably just as lazy as you are, i can just do things like a HUGE project that would take the average person maybe a week to do, while i can do it within 30-60 minutes, while still getting 85%+.

I'm sure that detention is just a substitute for an actual homework "club" we had one of those at my school. OR pretend you are in detention and go to the library smile.gif

do the words fall asleep in the shower mean anything to you? FALL ASLEEP IN THE SHOWER!

Dude I dunno if you've ever done it but when you wake up there is nothing worse than pruned caluses.

I once played tales of symphonia for 47 hours straight, I was molded to the couch by the end.

Top that.

Jeez, from reading this thread, I'd think you were all geniuses. I'm pretty lazy too, I get homework done at the last minute and sometimes I just don't get it done at all, and detentions don't really make you do work, all I do in detention is look at an empty notebook till its time to go.

Wow, 2 more hours and you would have played as much as the korean guy who died playing Starcraft for 49 hours straight.

Btw, you played for 47 hours straight... what the hell were you thinking? Hell, no matter how good a game was I would at least eat and sleep and go to the bathroom.

That doesn't work because then you FORGET TO SNAP THE RUBBER BAND! pinch.gif

Even though it's a good idea, you already need some pre-existing willpower to snap the rubberband when you're doing the "bad thing". But, as our poor guys moans, he has none. Therefore.. yeah... it won't work that well pinch.gif

Break your tv and computer, or unplug them. Or talk to your parents and have them do something with your stuff, then make them give you some "reward" for not using the tv or computer smile.gif

But really it all comes down to whether or not you really want to change. You how you are a bum and how the way you are now is bad for you and you want to make yourself change.
