But it's better than practically paying these prices:

Unleaded: Arm
Unleaded Plus: Leg
Premium: First Born

People need to trash their gasoline-dependent cars and move on to electric cars (or perhaps hybrids for starters).

Well, right now the prices are about $2.59 (lowest one). Just filled my car up today and pray that it will last  happy.gif

You should pray for something more important, like healing all the people in hospitals or something. Stop being so selfish! sad.gif

It's not my fault that when you and or others buy a car that you don't think that gas prices might rise.  There are special setups you can put in a car so that it runs an electricity power up to 35 MPH.  One guy I saw on the local news got almost infinite MPG in the city and about 85 MPG on the highway doing this.

How will I move?  Make a smart choice when buying a car.

Hybrids take about nine years to break even.

I wish this system was efficient. Maybe I'm really ignorant, but why are the refineries right on the coast instead of farther inland? ><

by the way, it appears Rita is heading away from Huston, and closer to New Orleans area. Not that far...but just over there ish.

Why cant he be looking out for himself 2? Just because he is trying not 2 end up on the streets doesnt make him selfish or doesnt care about other people.

The hurricane hitting new orleans would be better than hittin texas cause than we got just 1 zone instead of 2.

The oil companies will raise thier prices if Rita strikes east of New Orleans. It came ashore around Port Arthur btw.

People who buy electric cars to prevent pollution usually don't think about how that electricity was generated.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Oo.Insane.oO on 2005-09-24 at 20:37:14
Theres pretty much no way to do it unless there is some kind of wind car for there not to be polution cause even so the car will create some kind of carbon or something that needs to go somewhere.

Ever thought they might be more efficient? That nuclear power plants, while generating toxic waste, don't add to air pollution? That power plants are not everywhere like cars are? Heard of solar cars? Solar and wind power plants? Geothermal plants?

it takes about nine years to break even with a hybrid.

He was trying to claim that hybrid cars cause just as much pollution from the energy source. Besides, cars should last a good deal longer than nine years.

No, not Yoshi, the guy who said "people who buy hybrid cars don't think about where the electricity comes from"

So did that guy also talk about cars breaking in nine years?

Calm down, I never said, "hybrid", I said "electric", which is what you had been talking about. Don't change my words, please.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by CheeZe on 2005-09-25 at 15:48:53
Just so you know, electric is hybrid (I know word isn't, but it's implied). A car that runs on 100% electricity won't be able to last 5 hours on a full charge. sad.gif

One day (When I have money and some free time) I'm going to make a perpetual motion machine.

It all works out with the gears. It just needs some extra energy to get it started.

?

Those cars do exist, and are almost exclusively bought by people who want to be good to the envirnoment. My point was about those cars, not hybrid cars (I've never heard them reffered to as "electric cars").

the new type of cars has no reason, the Pressurized H2O Fuel engine is bullblam cause the gas strikes dreadnaught of doom in 2005 and the things are gonna market 2010, i cant go to the mall now since its a gallon of gas per hour of working... atleast not often yawn.gif I hate being the one not to save alot of money, you know.
