I heard the other day that if Rita hits texas and the oil refinerys need to be shut down gas is said to skyrocket to about $5.00.
I dont think this will happen but if it does...man are people gonna be blamtin there pants.People were talking like "Why is gas so expensive" when it was $3.00 this will be almost doubled that.
Maybe they'll carpool and try to conserve. At least pollution will go down.
This is true but people still will be havin a hard time affording it
So...?
This belongs in the null, there's not much to discuss about it.
I'd like to see a source, I can see how lazy you are.
5$ a gallon? Guess I'm walking to school (if its true)
I heard the same thing as authority today. But then again, I don't believe every thing I hear right away. This time tomorrow, I'll know for sure.

There is no source Its just a rumor and it is a searious issue if it happens.i heard it was gona go up today on CNN while watching bout rita
Finally!
Now maybe just maybe people won't go out and buy 7 MPG Hummers and Fords. Gas prices don't really affect me, but our school is either going to:
1) Force us to walk to school
or
2) Sell us out to black market organ dealers and harvest our kidneys to pay for the buses.
Either way, the impact shouldn't be as soon as you make it. I'm thinking we'll get hit hard in another month or so, after the Katrina aftermath sets in; it takes about two months to process oil.
Omg... You would think they would lower the gas to just be nice people... I heard in some state in the U.S. a gallon of gas is only 12 cents.
And when you go to texas it will be a whopping $5.00

I heard at one point that they were going to take the gas tax off, at least in my state. I think it was twenty nine cents. It would be nice to not have to pay that, but they'd have to compensate for it by taxing something else...
Income from taxing gas goes directly to building roads and highways, maybe we could be without road construction for a month?
Obviously its more complicated then that, but its possible....

It would be nice if the effing OIL COMPANIES would take a little out of their lucrative 80 cents or more profit per gallon. If you believe Bill Lockyer, some companies are intentionally price-gouging and using the hurricanes as an excuse.QUOTE(DT_Battlekruser @ Sep 22 2005, 06:50 PM)

Why do you care so much? Geeze.
Because those cars make the end of gas cars as we know it come to an end faster...
When are those Electric Solar Cars going to be ready for the market?!? were waiting..
Isnt the Alaskan pipeline closed?
If it is to make gas cheaper you could
1) Open the pipeline
2) Pump out as much gas as u can for the remaining gas
but the alaskan pipeline is closed so we dont use up out gas we use other countries.
Im wondering if theres just a pocket of gas not individual pockets if it was we would just be screwing ouselves over
To everyone whose ever said "Good, now pollution will go down!"
Please listen to this. Shut up. Its obvious that you dont drive a car, because if you did, you would be caring about how the hell your going to move. Please, use some logic.
This is where all the people who were spoiled into thinking they'd always have something get hit with some hard and fast realizations that things they were dependant on just aren't there, and they might have to make a few sacrifices. What a damaging ego blow.
Well, right now the prices are about $2.59 (lowest one). Just filled my car up today and pray that it will last

Just earlier this week I was seein $2.29's n stuff. That might be gone for a while.
It will be even worse for Michigan if they put the gas regulater back into it to make the gas burn cleaner.
I think these hurricanes are great. With gas prices skyrocketing pollution will go down!
You don't pay for gas do you?

It's not my fault that when you and or others buy a car that you don't think that gas prices might rise. There are special setups you can put in a car so that it runs an electricity power up to 35 MPH. One guy I saw on the local news got almost infinite MPG in the city and about 85 MPG on the highway doing this.
How will I move? Make a smart choice when buying a car.
