It depends on how much you play StarCraft.
If you spend every single minute of your life on it after you get out of school, go get a life.

I spend so much time on SEN, I'm never on sc

StarCraft can and will rule your life if you allow it to, as will anything else. Reading, cleaning, beating the meat, clipping your nails, homework, anything can consume your time and life. Passion versus obsession. There is nothing wrong with having a passion for something. But, when you're missing out on other areas of your life, you're obsessed with it. You're devoting so much time to it, that other things get in the way.
This brings me to another point. The "I'm bored" people. Ever why when I hear on B.net "I'm so bored I check SEN every 15 minutes etc" and tell them to go ouside. If you're BORED doing something, not doing it is a good solution.
Time management, very important. You don't need to write down a big schedule or planner, but just some wisdom in judging how much time you should be putting into the things that you do.

I'm passionate about that third thing.

And obsessed with reading.

Lol...
Really now?...Mines kinda burnt ANd tastes Crispy...
now selling souls for 500 mins
I find I spend to much time here for no reason, but I don't think its ruining my life.

if the first thing you do when u wake up is play a game, then u are obsessed. if u play games for more than 10+ A DAY, then ur obsessed and have no life.

and seriously, go outside and play SOMETHING

So if your reading this topic, does that mean you have no life?
Should we all stop going on SEN / Battle.net becuase it's preventing us from having a girlfriend?
Has SEN ruined your life?
Do you know anyone who's had their life ruined by SC?
Is it possible to be happy, have friends, date girls, make starcraft maps and maintain above 50% participation on SEN?

No.
No. its not preventing me at all... i plently of free time besides this

No.
No.
Yes.
No.
Here's what I do.
If there's some sort of event, then EVENT > STARCRAFT/SEN
Event meaning something's happening.
If theres nothing going on I spend my free time on sen/starcraft.
I visit this site fairly often and I'm not any less disatisfied with my life than I was before I came here. If anything, I've made new friends here. Of course, I don't think I do as much trolling here as a lot of members do.
I didn't have much of a life before SEN, let alone after it.
Still selling lives...Any one need an life anyone?

SEN is a choice we all made to join and we like it so, you can't complain. but ever since i came here my life has been weirder by the day. (good and bad)
yes, time for the words of someone who knows what its like to quit.
What it truely was is that as i started to ernjoy Sc, i wanted to play it more, if i wanted to play it more, i played it more. After a while, I started losing friends, no-one wated to sit around and talk about random sc stuff, so i just kinda thought about it, and things just started to work out. Many of the friend I have now are so much different compared to my older ones. Skateboarding and music became my new obsessions, but these were ones i could share with friends. Especially the warped tour '05. Maybe i didn't have to give it all up, but to me, that seemed like the only available answer. This is why you people SHOULDENT! and i mean SHOULDENT! let sc become an obsession. Like moose said, if it bores you, do something else. Call up friends, go outside, listen to music, DO SOMETHING ESLE!
~Torrasque.
I hate vans warped tour..They hardly ever play any good bands.
i still have an life,girlfriend,Etc
pet dragon
Still selling lives
You just gotta know when to go outside enjoy the day..Then play video games at night.
In a way yes. I don't regret getting into StarCraft, I've learnt a lot from it, but like Yoshi, I feel it's not really teaching me more at the moment, and there are better things I could do with my time. I do spend most of my spare time on StarCraft.org though, even if most people don't believe that.
well...i owe alot to sc...I got an A in english...And thats not normally possable with me sleeping in it everyday...Theres some serous blam going on there
It's not starcraft that keeps me from doing my homework, but any type of electronics. Halo, Internet, forums, games, tv. You name it.
Now that you think of it, Staredit.net or Starcraft don't stop me from having a life at all. Without them, Id still be wasting my time, except in a different way.
