Kame never made a map to my knowledge. Hell she never really even went on bnet as far as I know.
Wait Yoshi left permanantly?
QUOTE(Merrell @ Oct 5 2005, 03:40 PM)
Old or not, starcraft is still one of the best games ever created. Starcraft and/or Broodwar have still a long time to go, and the same with Staredit.net. Even if starcraft dies, that does not mean we cannot be a community and we will just give up helping people in map making. There will still be people that need our help and assistance, and we will continue providing that.
SEN is not dying. If you think it is, you're not very smart. You just believe that everything will die because of a few moderators are leaving? Most of them have been truly "gone" for a few months now anyways. Clokr I haven't seen very active since May/June. Yoshi hasn't really been active either, besides make a few news topics here and there. Meh, same with other mods.

it doesnt matter if sc is one of the best game ever created, do you think people still buying it?? is a slow death, people will* start leaving this game

I think so...
So yoshi really left eh? Ah well... i do see SC dying, there are no good games that i've seen or played recently, and by the time good maps are made like crescent dyne or love + hate, there won't be much left of sc to appreciate it....
Also, Who cares? A few people left, oh well. Just because a few more well-known people left doesn't mean we should all just give up.
Just because a game isn't being sold anymore, which SC still is I believe, or if a game isn't being played by many people anymore doesn't mean it's dead.
Hell, I could still play 20 year old games on my NES if I wanted to, and I'm sure I can find a TINY community of people who still enjoy those games.
Well a sad goodbye to Yoshi, Clokr_ and Kame. You will be missed. Good luck new moderators. Hopefully SEN won't die down that much with the loss of some people on this website.
I believe moose can make himself administrator if he wants...
Don't you have the power to?

I don't think Entropy resigned.
I said Entropy resigned?

As a supporter of Yoshi I am VERY disappointed at the way he left.
This is one of the rare times I agree with Devilesk.
QUOTE(glytcher @ Oct 5 2005, 05:19 PM)
when u said clokr_ and kame retired from moderating, do you mean there still here just not as mods? or are they gone from map making?
Whatever they choose to do is up to them.
Isolated -- "Administrators" is not listed as an option when editing myself. I learned my lesson the first time I edited myself anyway. I don't want to touch the damn thing.
IP couldnt you jst do it? i dont think admins and below cant.
ps. consider me a good mod

I'm always right when it comes to matters of great importance.
*sighs*... well, you've failed in serious discussion so.... ;P

Idiot.
First of all, SEN is NOT DEAD Just because a lot of the senior staff left does not mean the site will die. Let's face it, it becomes hard to stay addicted to Starcraft when you're pushing 21. Starcraft is not too old to play.
Second of all, I can guarantee that those who clamor to replace our senior staff won't make it. There has always been a little discrepancy in my opinion to this rule. It isn't true that asking for a staff position ruins your chances. What is true is the kind of person that begs for a staff position is not the kind of person we're looking for.
So.. Sen's not being shutdown?
no its not
devilesk brings up a good point.
I remember saying it in the discussion topic though. =/ I think everything will settle down once the server settles, and new blood never hurts.
Ya jus cause some people left SEN doesent mean the worlds gonna end. Cause thats wat im hearin from everyone. Starcraft will live onin the hearts of true gamers. And n e ways, in a few months everyone will go back to what they were doin before (hopefully)
Hmm, I'm willing to to help SEN in any way that I can. We have our problems and petty internal politics, but we can rally and recover from them.
Now if only I was more active.
Seriously, if you think a community will die because some now-INSIGNIFICANT members left, you're a straight-up idiot.
No political campaigns???
VIVA LA SEN! (I hope) I hope SEN stays alive, this sucks with all the mods leaving and stuff.
Also, I thought that Yoshi might pull a stunt like this.
I don't like speaking ill of our past administrator, and we have much to thank him for, but I haven't trusted his judgement since the Synd][cate incident last year where he resigned.
I agree with Devilesk and Moose on the way in which Yoshi left. He's left us all in confusion (which will hopefully be sorted out soon).
Since Kame isn't a moderator anymore, can some admin or global mod take the minerals Felagund gave her and give them all back to the rightful people? O_O
Yoshi's gone! No.....!
If you see him round, tell him that he should be very proud of himself if he isn't already. There are very few other webmasters like Yoshi who can create a site from nothing and turn it into the hands-down largest and most visited site for the niche that it is targeted at. Many people have tried, but few have succeeded. I really look up to Yoshi for what he's done, and I can only wish that I can learn from him. For one man, he's achieved so much.
