From what I've read Call of Duty 2 uses a health system similar to Halo, so I guess that's one thing unrealistic about it. Though I think it's a better idea than using health packs.

You know what would suck in realistic games, having to go to the bathroom, sleeping, falling down, being itchy, blinking, catching a cold along with some other things.
Games don't need to be 100% realistic, because some parts can be boring or redundant.

Call of duty2 best fps ive played.

Realistic:

How your health is managed. There is no really health, if you get shot alot you die. no matter what mode its one.

You acually cant cook the nades.. they just blow up if you have them held for to long.

Unlike most fps AI always aim for the head, well cod2 has ai that aim for every part of the body.

Recoil

If you have the game. Watch the dvd it explains alot more realisitic things...

Not Realisitc:

The german acents where a bit off but the words where accurate.

The german AI die alot ezyer. ( in the editor in coduo it shows that the allies have 500% health and the german AI only have 100%)

The makers of the game... really screwed up. Instead of trying to explain it. i just took a screenshot
http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/4227/shot00791jf.jpg. when your trying to blend terrain in the editor your supose to but and acuall brush under the one you where blending, that way you wouldnt half to worry about this happing.

Thats about all.

I have over 95 screenshots, soon to be more. im takin them for a m8 of mine biggrin.gif

If you want the game pure 100+ reallistic play a realsm server...

Im off to finish the game! (i just got it yesterday and i already finished the british adn russain camp. now im working on the allied. w00t

That is NOT realistic. If I get shot 20 times by a Machine Gunner, but duck away, I won't just get back up and run a few miles while shooting at enemies. It'd be realistic if you got shot once, head-dead, legs-you fall down and wait for a paramedic, arm-lose your gun refrain to a pistol. No games do that, any health system besides the one I saw in Rainbow Six game has a realistic Health system.

I prefer games like StarCraft, Science Fiction. It's not realistic, but it could be some day, I think that's a nice balance smile.gif. I wouldn't like it if everything was one shot kills and stuff.

Um, doesn't ever game known to god or man have this feature.
Killzone, boom in your hand
DoD, Boom in your hand
CS:S, Boom in your hand

I see no originallity there...

Why do you want to die by one shot? in a game that has over 100 ai all around you. why dont you make a Uber realistic game and make it so its one shot one kill. See how bad it sells, if you want to get shot once and die play cod2 in the highest difficulty mode

OMG, I was saying that every game has that feature, so why say it?
I want to flame so badly....

ADDITION:
Plus, CS is a very popular game and you die, what?, three hits? One hit to the head? Very easy to die.

You cant get 20 times by a mg, its about 5 times and your dead if you dont get to cover. IF YOU WANT TO DIE SO BADLY WHY DONT YOU TURN IT ON HARDEST?

same with cod2. YOU HAVE NO REASON TO FLAME

I agree with Golden-Fist guys...
I still don't think realisim is what a game should have.
I don't want my FPS fillled with floating dinosaurs and stuff... but I don't need to lay down and wait hours to days for a paramedic.

ok thats just retarded.. and why you just use the addition button... i guess you got your flame smile.gif good job

btw there is a few realistic game... but i think its just that game cant be brought to life... you always have to be that 1 super person can that do everything... and espeically in a big war game if your super and make everything balance make everyone else super.. but yea you can select mode. and yea CS you do die like in 3 hits... and in real life you prob wont die in 1 hit.. and i dont think were advance enough to add ppl limping around if they just get hit once expect maybe the ps3 might have it smile.gif looking forward to ps3 they got real nice graphic.. i like xbox 360 also.. but dont know exactly which one is better.. once they both come out i might buy one... but def not nintendo revolution....

and btw PSP is a whole lot better then DS

It's not that I want to die it's that you think it's realistic when it's not, you don't have to get all pissed off.

I agree with Golden.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by M_s4 on 2005-11-19 at 23:54:56
People want video games to be realistic probably because, it's not that they neccessarily want to get away from the world, it's away from their own lives, and to imaginarily take on someone else's life...as realistically as possible. After games like started to evolve, envisionment of the game's character was really important, especially in games like RPG's that have good storylines.

On the other hand, some people don't even know why they want games to be realistic, because realistic games generally represent good graphics.

Actually, I seperate graphics and realism entirely.
Take Close Combat: Invasion of Normandy for example.
2D game, pretty shizting blood effects, layering glitches, etc.
But the gameplay is amazing. The soldiers act according to how scared they are, if they are injured they may not be able to move / fire, they willl surrender, etc. etc. etc. (alot more)
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Golden-Fist on 2005-11-20 at 11:05:56
Or how about Final Fantasy. That's no where near realistic, and the cutscenes are mindblowing.

I'm usually justed pleased with science fiction/horror games like doom3, quake4, and fear. I like some that are realistic like medal of honor and call of duty.

biggrin.gif F.E.A.R. is awesome. The AI for the computer is so amazing (On hard mode). And the game really does make it seem pretty scary with that little girl popping up out of nowhere like i almost crapped myself.
