Me too, more money the better, smoking anything sucks!
DRUGS!!! Jk...
I have that problem myself... make bets, or a deal with someone...
Stragiht A's = money?
It might as well be the equivelent as A's = College more likely = better job = higher paying career = $
I have the same problem cronus, i can't really help you there. Maybe find some activity in school that you need decent grades for and work for that.
Honestly, this works for me. Find a really good person in a subject and compete, I had an A in a class once because I did that.
I sort of do that, except I don't compete grade wise, I shock him with my knowlegdge about things not related to school...
(COMPUTERS+SPORTS!!!)
Just learn to love learning. Be "happy" in all things you are learning. Be "glad" with the mistakes you have (in class as in your F's and stuff) and learn from that. If an F doesnt sting, there is something really wrong. From a Christian's point of view, you do all things in the name of God, so do them well... or if you arent a Christian, change God with something else. like... sen? lol something like that... If you try your best even if you dont like school...
Reminds me, today my teacher was quite 'odd'. He was feeling apathetic... and he gave us a free class... lol mess around with chemicals and stuff.. haha
Anger motivates me to do things. Don't get this confused with Frustration, because usually anger at yourself kind of brings you down, makes you lose focus and concentration. The anger I'm talking about is kind of like you being mad at something else; something other than yourself. Usually it gets my adrenalin going.
anger can be right anger... just to clear up frustration
Hey man, I share your problem. I fail my classes in school, even though I could be in Honours classes, hands down.
I got a couple ideas.
#1: If you're like me and have two friends in school, this is not your option. Have a friend go to your house every day and force you to do ever damned assignment until your eyes bugger out.
#2: Make your parents sit with you until your eyes bugger out.
#3: Open up a Bible and read the Proverbs of King Solomon. Even if you're not a Christian/Jew/Muslim, King Solomon was still a real person who knew a REAL LOT. I started reading the Proverbs, and it seems to help as a motivational force.
