Some I've done ALL ARE AVAILABE TO DL FROM THE DATABASE:
Beacon Bound The level is covered in beacons and you need to cover the whole area in the level to advance. Not all the levels are explosions though. There are mazes, lurker traps, archon fields (not normal mazes - you explode your way through), Moving explosions and Timed beacons (you can only get them when they are lit). And if that's not enough you are competing against your friends!
Selector Bound There are different domains. You pick which ones you do first. When you've completed a domain you get lives. You can only enter one at once. (In selector bound 2 theres a minefield where if you get desperate you can go and pick up some extra lives).
Battle Bound There are crystals dotted around each level. 3v3 Black vs white teams. The levels range from normal explosion dodges, to flag jumping races, domination of beacons, mini-base wars across a bound level and a race across a team trap-controlled maze.
Some ideas if you want them which I will never get round to:
Climb Bound You seen the terrain by Rantent that shows the terrain climbing higher than just dirt and high dirt. It can give the terrain infinite levels that you can actually see. You'll need to be good at terrain. But all you do is make a maze going all the way to the top FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL identically the same. So they all race to the top....simple. (If you haven't seen Rantents terrain go to the terrain topic in the forum and go to terrain hall of fame).
Tug of war Bound 2 teams. A long stretch of terrain with one based at each end. They need to get to the other side and destroy a base. The further they get in the stretch the more minerals they get to buy upgrades. There could be levels that stretch away from the main level so one in the team could go get extra things.
Well I won't go on, but the main thing is to make one map and develope that ONE map with lots of different ideas within it. Thats what makes the best bounds or any map. Don't always make explosion maps!! They get boring if you aren't inventive with the explosion timing. Also varying explosion types helps now and again, or even more than one unit in an explosion.
