Well the only thing I ever really do from tv is say yoink when I take things from people.
And occasionally spoot. Angry Beavers kicked major ass.
Newbie: someone new at a particular skill.
Newb: short for newbie, often confused with noob
Noob, aka n00b: derived from newb and often confused with it, but has a different meaning. While newb and newbie denote someone new, at therefore often bad, at something, "noob" is given to someone doing amateur actions (even if performed by a veteran) that are, with few adjectives more apt, stupid.
ummm don't you think your taking this a little too seriously?
its just an insult people say as trash talk online.
People who say n00b, noob, newb, newbie, etc. in real life are just idiots. It makes you sound like a complete retard.
bottom line: its just an insult used online.

Oh my gosh, that's priceless.
My friend does the same thing. He yells "Mach Speed", "Slow-Mo", or "Zoom In" and does the actions like he's playing Viewtiful Joe. We tend to yell "Henshin-a-go-go, Baby!" a lot, too. I sometimes greet people by saying "En Taro Adun", and when I come back from class from the bathroom, I sometimes yell "My business is done! (Invader Zim)"

Oh right that reminds me, he used to go En Taro Adun as well to random people and they would be

but then again, I did it too. Now that he has gotten into Americas Army he does army hand signals and stuff in the hall.
dumbducky... it was never meant to be an insult, besides the fact if you dont wanna take it seriously, just stay in the nulls forum

A n00b to me is someone who's being obnoxious or just plain stupid.
Newbie is a term I use to describe someone who hasn't been playing a game for very long.
Ditto. I used to not care which one I use, but these days I only use the word 'Noob' to describe backstabbers, complete idiots, and people who are losing on purpose.
Newb/Newbie is simply to describe people new to a game.

Same thing as stated before, but much nicer. They should put this stuff in dictionaries.
It is somewhat sad because everyone is a newb at something from one point of their lives. Just keep on saying newb to new people can be offensive because it shows how bad it hurt you when you were called it.
thats very true. I hate people who dont have enough morality. Also they cant take jokes who call people n00b or newb for unknown reasons.
I'm thinkin the quickest and easiest insult to someone would be n00b or newb, for most people its the first thing that pops in their head. But umm, yeah, we were all *Newbs* at one point.
Also, I believe n00b, noob and newb are meant as a direct insult-
If someone is actually willing to type about 2 more letters to spell Newbie, then in some cases they're saying "New Player". Otherwise, its just the same as saying n00b.
I keep calling n00b in Impossible Scenario games. I just did something wrong and I was called n00b. Such as accidentally killing my tank, etc.
Not many people believe that this is true:
n00b/noob - Stupid brat who insults others and expects others to do the work for them.
newb/newbie - A new player who does not insult and is friendly and is willing to learn.

Actually the quickest and stupidest insult would be "ur mom". only used by noobs of course. (no offence guy whos user name is urmom)
uh isnt this null?
well btw.. yea i agree noob is affensive and bad sportsmanship while playing game is annoying. btw noob is affensive becuase everyone is new at something when they first start becuase everyone cant be the best at what there doing from the start.
I used to be a Mr. Bad Manner. But I am the Debater now.

I think noob and newb is meant different things and most people don't believe that. Mercy to our god! I don't like people who complain about slow downloads and say noob! and like that. People who complain about the game and never leave, who I hate also and they call me noob. This gets on your nerves doesnt it?
Noob = SEN
Newb = New person.
You have to admit there is a pleasure/rejuvinating factor to calling someone a n00b:
-Lost a top v bottom map? Blame it on your n00b ally. Your ego is restored.
-Lost a defense map? Cry out "NOOBS!" and rm named PROZ ONLY! Now you'll win.
-Bad RP? Someone was a n00b. Permaban him next time.
-Last one alive in a bound? Call everyone n00bs. Then they can return the favor when you die.
Of course winning a map makes the pleasure, oh so sweeter:
"gg n00b" has a nice ring to it, don't you think?
BS'ing n00bs is also fun
L0OL SEN IS FULL OF NOOBS THEY SUK I PWN DEM STUF BIEHC LKOLLOLOLOLO 1v3 BR LOLLOLO I KUT U NOOB

Much worse than being shot.
It's a good thing I don't talk like that.
I use the word noob when they dont know how to play or when they bs u in a game, but other then that

I won't use noob or newb anymore. This usage of the word makes me feel stupid, and even more geek than what I'am right now. Therefore, I shall put this word to the words of uselessness forever and ever to the txt.
Forever.
Once during a Tree Defense game a very idiotic person didn't want to upgrade (Yes, didn't WANT to, he knew how but didn't). I pointed this out and he banned me and called me a noob for telling everyone how stupid he was being.

Tarpit Defense...everyone gets ground units except for me. I have two valkyries by the fourth level. Everyone with ground stuff is leaking, and I wouldn't be but for the massive sprite usage that comes with HAVING 80 MARINES.
They start calling me a noob for having air units. (Since, you know, who cares about whether or not valkyries are 8x more effective than some stupid marines)
Game ended shortly after.
Idiots.
NOOB is a definition used by real noobs(people who have no clue how to play the respctive game) to cover their asses case closed.
