because just imagine if you were an innocent and get imprison

I agree with Kame that people will do it again... So obvious... But I would never want, ever, the pain of charging innocent men with nothing...

Id rather send 1000 innocents to prison. Its better than having murders and thieves not getting jailed for crimes.

Kellimus, You can't vote neither. That's the whole point of the thread. 
It depends on what criminals we're talking about. If it's just petty muggers or something I'd vote 1000 criminals getting let free. It also depends on the area; Is this in the New York ghetto, or like, Texas?
It was a pretty indiscriptive question...
But other than that, I'd think to let 1000 innocent men in prison. Why? Becuase if they accused me of it, They know that the 1000 men are innocent, And therefore they are let all free. I get life in jail so that a thousand others dont, That's fine with me.
Also, If the innocent men where considered NOT innoccent after being interviewed by police, Then that means you just got like, 50+ also criminals by doing that also. So basicly let innocent men in prison is "sacrifice yourself to help the community".

The majority of our constitution and laws are based off the old roman republic. 1 of the old dudes politicians said: "It is better to have a criminal free than to have a innocent man in jail." I believe that is true.
Crackhead, this is not surpose to be a specific question really. Its just which one do you think is more moraly correct and say why. If you want a slightly different scenerio which would help you, for some reason god talks to you and asks wether you'd want 1000 guilty men free or 1000 innocent men in jail and no other information, which would you choose. (Note, I don't believe in god)

I think wrongly imprisioning 1000 people is an obvious choice for me. First off, I think of extremes. So these people who are imprisioned could be the nicest people in town or whatever, but chances are that they'll only be in prison for 10 years tops. However if we let the entire gang community of the Bloods and Crips go then a lot more innocent people would be killed, which is far more worse then a few years of their life taken away.
