Its not like i put my name in there or anything. Im not stealling the map, and I didnt unprotect it either. Im just stating how easily maps can be taken. We need all teh defense We can get.

Side note: 3.3 was stolen by Speed][fast. The only edits I actually made to 3.2 were that I enabled stimming for hero rines and chnaged some of the names. I actually did it as a joke (And partially just to see if i could). I don;t know how it became popular. Besides, by the time it really got out there 4.2 was out so i dont really feel bad for whoever made that map.

You just did "e staredit\scenario.chk", right? Anyone who uses a program without a GUI that lists the MPQ's contents (e.g. windows console MPQ2K) would be able to go and pull the file out. I don't use a PC so I dunno what MPQ program is preferred by PC users; In the short time I spent using one I was unable to get an MPQ program with a GUI working.

You can also type that command in WinMPQ in the box at the bottom of the window.

Heh, it looks like a bug has been found in WinMPQ or in SFMPQ's listing code, since it doesn't even show an unknown file. smile.gif It is supposed to show all files no matter what. blink.gif

Nice, there hasn't been an update to WinMPQ in quite some time...

Actually, there was one a couple of months ago that fixed a fairly common error with archives from World of Warcraft.

WinMPQ doesn't really need much in terms of updates. SFMPQ is really what needs some updates. ermm.gif

BTW, if you have a global file list assigned in WinMPQ which contains staredit\scenario.chk then the file will be seen anyway. Or also if you click the "Add to file listing" option and manually type it in...
