Standardized testing is what gets my into honors classes, then my not doing work gets me kicked out.

Last year I got 4's (highest) on all of them happy.gif

Not hard, especially the math. The math level on those tests is pathetic anyway; I got a 700 on math on an SAT test 4 years prematurely (If you usually take it in 12'th grade)!

Edit: 5 years. It was last year tongue.gif.

its hard when public school fails and standardized test rules your world.

That just means it's important. I always say that the math section is way easier then writing section, and anyone I've asked so far has agreed.

I should type up that editorial that I mentioned in the first post... I think it's pretty good, but I had to turn it in. I could've done the SAT this year because I got invited to some thing that's for smart people (I just got into middle school, think about it wink.gif) but I dodn't because all the people in the brochure looked like uber-turbo nerds... ermm.gif And because I just didn't want to take a standardized test before I had to.

standardized testing is really easy if you pay attention in class though.

That's the problem in my school though, they focus so much on the standardized test throughout the year that it detracts from the material we should actually be learning. angry.gif

standardized testing isn't a very good testing method as i can say. public schools will fail. Tutoring/Preppys will sky rocket... and of course. there will be almost no pubby school left. i don't think that is important. besides, I never payed attention to my teacher ever.

But the teacher has to have the material to teach you so you'll have something to pay attention to in the first place. If the school doesn't have the money, then you won't know what you need to know for the actual test. If you have a bad teacher who doesn't answer questions, you're screwed too.

Exactly. If teachers concentrate on teaching for the test, then you won't learn things needed for real life.

standardized testing is fine in my eyes. I mean you got to know how if your students in your country are actually learning anything and not bullshizzing their class work and grade.
