I like Dell computers the best. Then comes Hewlett-Packard (sp?). I never used an Alienware so I can't judge it.

i heard (and would assume) alienwares kick ass. every purchased computer my friends have had always turns out to be a pile of shiz, so i dunno why they keep gettin the same useless thing from company X (which is most of the time HP)
some people like falcon northwest, but....
take a 500 dollar computer.
spraypaint a logo on it.
put a flashy fan on it.
add 1000 to the price.

You heard wrong. They used watered down hardware and transfer the savings to themselves. And people say that they dont care about you after you bought the pc.

I hope you realize its a car paint job not spraypaint. I also hope you realize that Falcon is expensive because unlike Alienware they use premium hardware and they dont outsource their technical support to India.
Take a normal computer
Use cheap parts

Considering apple makes all the computers that runs its operating system, all macintosh and apple are pretty much the exact same.

I like compaq. My computer is compaq (as is my desktop), and it works fine, plus I got it for a great price

Well i dunno...the reviews ive seen show Alienware doing poorly on benchmarks despite the fact that the parts all have the same name.
