I'm making the town and it is looking 1337. I'm making it for show that you can combine square and isometric terrain and it looks cool in a RPG. I'll post it here when I'm done.

Remember people, sprites and even units can be a part of the terrain. BTW all the houses and stuff should be made of sprites and terrain.

For the houses I'm using terran academies, but you can use sprites/terrain if you like it tongue.gif

EDIT: Ok, I finished it... damn it took me all the day. Anyway here is it. I added some triggers:
-Center view
-Pass behind the bridge
-Slow unit on the little stairs

Also you can make trigger for move the unit over the ice like if it slides. For do that order to move an observer and move the civilian down the observer, it creates a nice slide effect!

NOTE: Play the map on StarCraft!

Gj, Clokr_ only thing was that i had to delete center view. It kept moving my cursor and I couldn't do none and i had to black sheep wall to be able to see waterfall.
Anyways Gj.

Why the Dark Templar?

Play it on bnet and you won't have the center view problem.

Clokr_'s is good but can still be improved.

You use rock for the walls, but there is an icy wall you can use to make it look more like the picture.

The trees in the picture are more bundled up, in the map they are spread farther apart.

The big tree near the middle of the picture is way bigger than in the map.

The buildings could probably be made using a combination of terrain and sprite, though would be pretty hard.

The doors on the upper right of the picture look like hard-to-see caves in the terrain.

There are no rocks in the ice.

If you look at the picture and think of "tiles" you can see it's all a pattern and in Starcaft you have random tiles.
