Anyways, Apple was going down to the shizter. Well, actually, they weren't making a profit until they unleashed the iPod that completely saved them. (Sort of an eggsaguration.)

Thats incorrect actualy. They were in debt 2 billion dollars until they released the original iMac about 10ish years ago. Since they released that they were making steady profit. The iPod was a big boost though.

I know this because it was in the guenis book of world records for having the shortist manual or something like that.

Not really, I got mine on a discount for having a teacher for a mom. That and I know the guy who works at the apple store downtown. I got mine under $1000 and its top of the line. (And I can return it for a newer mac when they make one for about $200.)

Ok, in windows, go to Start -> Run -> Type in "Regedit" without the quotes.

Now, look at this piece of garbage. Registry edit BLOWS. Try parsing through all of these.

A VITAL piece of the windows OS is nigh-impossible to deal with unless you know the EXACT key you need to work with. UNIX and Mac don't have this kind of crap to deal with.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Deathawk on 2006-04-13 at 07:17:04
You're not really supposed to be screwing around with the registry though... And if you do, it's not something you do frequently. The only time I really need to visit the registry has been when I needed to patch something to an older version so I could mod it, and when I had to delete some keys for Daemon Tools to work. For both of those, I had a clear guide to what I had to do. I never had to search for anything.

You've got to be kidding me, 1/4 of a new mac's hardware could outperform the best PCs on the market.

Are you trying to say that somehow the macs are better because they are cheaper? PC's are cheaper. I can build a $300 computer thats just as good as a Mac Mini ($600) and load it with Linux($0) Windows($80) or a cracked version of OS X ($Illegal, because Apple is too dumb to not require you to have an Apple branded PC).

You have an alienware, that's why your computer is expensive. That's not Window's fault.

I can get a TOP OF THE LINE PC for $738 dollars (1 month ago.) I can get an AVERAGE Mac for $1299 dollars.

And don't even get me started about their laptops.

And so what is my pc? 1300 above top of the line.

Actually I still would like to complain about mac mice. I have to tell Steve Jobs to put clickwheels on them instead. Clickwheels are sexy.

And doodle, the only macs I've ever seen in a school are OS7 or earlier. So maybe things are different where you live.

And don't get me wrong, I dislike macs to. But for better reasons.

Mac is based on Unix, meaning no holes. On a unix system, you CANNOT get remote access even if you have the root login. You have to be actually on the system to use the root functions. With windows, you can screw with everything remotely. Don't say PROBABLY if you really have no idea what you are talking about.

Oh, and you've never gotten a virus that you KNOW OF.
