Their old songs were good IMO. At least the lyrics were. Like "Time of your life." I really admired their ability to write lyrics (maybe not the context in whole, but at least they don't just say simple repetitive words that only 10 years would say)

Actually, no it's not. If you've taken a choir or theatre class, you'll know how easy it is to project without changing your voice, only making it louder.

To be completely honest, I think all of the current bands just suck. Seriously, all of them are stuff like "I'm so sorry I broke up with you," or "Will you forgive me?" or "Slash my wrists and," other crap like that. Or simply enough, they play mediocre music that almost anybody could think of and then get some money whore to advertise their music so shallow idiots listen to it and love it. What do we call this? It's called mainstream music. If all these so called "musicians" (that hurts to even type that) were to form together with their horrible mainstream music, I think they would have the power of five nuclear bombs. They seriously suck that bad. The core of that demon would probably be Greenday and My Chemical Romance doing a duet. There must be a way to send them to the sun.

Avenged Sevenfold is probably the best of the metalcore herd. Their guitarists can actually come up with original stuff instead of C TUNING CHUG CHUG PERFECT FOURTH HARMONY THAT GETS REALLY OLD CHUG XHUG GAY GAY GAY GAY like the zillion other bands that play the stuff.

Yea they maybe aren't as good as we'd like them to be, but again, what's worse. Them, or the crappy rap/hiphop/pop stuff played on the radio 24/7.

Actually, to scream while you sing, yes. I have taken Chourus many years, and you're right. Projecting your voice louder takes Diaphram power. But to scream, it takes vocal power, and screws with your cords.
