Use the word "Deity" instead of God. Or call the map "Super-God Masterforce". That's not a serious suggestion, it's just an awesome sounding name.

I dont know about Deity, but i like the name.
Still, i cant use so long name i think.

The filename format is "MapName" "Core version nr, Settings specifications" "TerrainVersionName".

For example "MightyGod 74 Ax3 Sx2 Simple"
74 is the core version, the buttons and stuff what GOD has. I dont know about the order, but Ax3 should be heroes are 3 times stronger than avarage units. Sx2 would be that speed of making everyhing is 2 times faster. And Simple is the world's terrain version name.

This is because GOD cant change terrain in game, or the hero settings, or the speed for creating things, or resources on the map. So im gonna make multiple versions so the game creator can choose what he likes best smile.gif

So the name should be very short to fit in. And good one.

Anyway.. i looked at tresaurus...
What would be the best way to call the "GOD" character ?
1- absolute being
2- all powerful
3- almighty
4- creator
5- maker

Making tons of versions of your map is exactly what you don't want to do. No one is going to find the time to download them all to even be able to choose which one he wants in the first place.

blink.gif Well if i wont do it, then somene does it for me. You know all the "re-makers". They steal ones map and modify it. Put their name on it and some of them erase the real Author name.

Someone wants the unit creation speed "instant" and other want it as it is.
I wouldn't mind either versions.

But what about the name ?

I like matrix, and i love that nick for the GOD player. Nice suggestion.

The map core seems to be 90% ready.
But lessons, and terrain subversions and some testing...
uhh the whole progress is not so close to 90% jet.

Is there any more "powers" to add for the archidect ?

So is this going to be realted to the Matrix in any way? I think you should make it more like DnD... Where the people choose a hero in the start (Neo, Morpheous, Trinity, etc.) and then the Almighty Architect does the DnD thing.

blink.gif ... no it's not an ordinary boring RPG style game, where u can get up to 100 levels and different equipment. Theyr boring because at the beginning of the game i already know, that i will make to the top lol. (Well not in MULTIPLAYER SC RPG maps actually)

And in the Matrix film the characters can go to the "real world". So, only player whos name comes from matrix is the Archidect.

I think there already are classical DND maps with the dungeon master player(s). I played one long time ago, but i dont like classical RPG style games very much.

ADDITION:
What do you guys think about globe like map for the "World" area?

This means that there will be teleports from one corner of the map to the other corner of the map. 6 teles between every player (6players). So it's more like sphere, where you can move your army endlessly.

The arrows are teleports in the map area edges.
This "globe" map feature would be on every terrain subversion (because it uses triggers it is a part of the map "core"), this is why i ask public opinion.

Why not have locations covering up the entire border so that units can teleport from anywhere on the border, not just in the few "designated spots"?

Yes im very sure that i cant change the title. And i dont know why. Someone mentioned it before, when i asked (see previous postst).

The reason why i cant make the "whole" border to teleport is simple. It's how the teleport works.

To get units from location A to B and also other way B to A you need 4 locations.

A_[go1][rec2] <---------------------> [rec1][go2]_B

* go (1 or 2) location moves all units to recieve (1 or 2) location.

Yes you can make a "GO" location that sends units from whole map border, but it doesnt know the right place to put the units on the other edge of the map. To make it work right it would consume over 255 locations for sure.

But if location GO grabs units from whole border and sends them only to the middle of other map edge, then it's just weird. Makes no sence.

Note, that it's also possible to camp teleports.
But i think it would add a nice twist to the map smile.gif

... aa need to update the main post also ..

So, any comments, opinions ?

You should come out according to where you go near the map border.

I think the CORE map is 99.9% ready. Need to create lessons and then final testing in online enviroment.

I think that people who want to test this map should now speak up.

All i require is that you play "testable map" with your friends in private servers and tell them not to make "public" games and not to spread it.

Any kind of feedback would be appriciated. I want to kill as many bugs as possible, and create a "known bugs" list before full release.

Lyon(MC), yes powerups can be created. But i suggest to read it throught, the feature list.

It's a bit complex to Architect only. The reason lies in map limits. I had to remake the whole project from zero because of location limit. Maybe Architect should print out the lessons in case he forgrets stuff...

Oh, and these lessons are not final (not polished). Atm. I made the lessons mainly for the testers, so they could at least play it. But i see one one willing to test it.

PS: SC as RTS, is not simple rape game. Some UMS maps only.

No it's not. Architect states the rules, others follow it to win the game. And every player knows this is how this map works.

Power abuse will happen only with stupid Architects... well it will never happen because players leave if the Architect is an idiot. I would call self modified and unbalanced UMS maps power abusing maps, rather than this one.

And who said im gonna change the name ? confused.gif
