I wasn't talking about your whole post, just that you're seemingly "solving" this problem with "Oh, God'll fix it. K?", thus making someone who actually has ideas do something.

Actually I'm saying that if we were strong enough, we could make live better, where did I ask God to fix it ?
I don't get it, you say that we are better than other animals, I see the same mentality among us as I see in them. They try to survive, sometimes working with others to accomplish their goals. They strive to maximize their own resources. You say humans are morally weak, but that is simply showing the same characteristics as animals.
Now the human being, you can think of as being more intelligent than any other animal on the planet. But bigger brains does not mean better, or any more decent. It has been thought that the neandrathals indeed had larger brain than homo sapians, but could not produce the various volcals we had.
Bringing us back to communication.
Communication, seen in this example, is one advantage that helped us become as powerful as we are today, as a species. It can be likened to the wings of a bird or the gills on a fish, as it is a survival tool. We were able to communicate with each other and work together more easily. If we enhance the communication, we might be able to work better, but I doubt that would drive out all our other instincts.
It won't drive out instincts, but it will lay the seed for people to try harder. That might be enough.
When people improve their communication, they have less room for ambiguity. When they have less room for ambiguities, they are forced to be more direct. That can either mean direct confrontation, or direction collaboration. In either case, it doesn't draw on or escalate: When a problem is made clear to both parties, it's usually pretty trivial to resolve.
Of course, people arn't likely to sprout magical telepathy abilities and be able to understand one another directly. The process of creating words and using them is very demanding, so it's only natural that our communicaton ability is limited to begin with.
We need telepathy damnit! Just like the protosses.
i only read a few posts coz they are massive and im not a big fan of reading but it looks like senners are reffering to people as a different race
maybe thats another thing to add to list if your sen your cool if ur not ur not

Animals are born to eat, sleep, reproduce, die (maybe I missed some, but you get the point). Humans CAN live better. We are given this chance, while animals are doomed to continiue living like they live: eat, sleep, reproduce, die.
Humans have a chance, while animals don't.
Religion or not, that much I think we can all agree with. There's something to be said for intelligence (when we actually use it, at least) given all we've accomplished thus far as a civilization. If we can just get over our own petty problems, we may yet finally be able to take control of ourselves and our evolution.
I don't really see why anyone would sacrifice themselves or their desires for the greater good. Personally, if everyone does that, I see it leading to communism.
WoW! moose said sumtin smart!
In theory, yes, but communism is supreme in theory also.

Animals are born to eat, sleep, reproduce, die
While you are true for animals in the wild, anyone who has lived unaided in the wild thelselves for a lengthy period of time could tell you that if you don't concentrate on that you'll die. It takes all your energy to simply get bare nessecities.
During the time of the agricultural revolution, we didn't need to focus on much of that anymore. In turn, we created our own world. Striving to distance ourselves from the survival lifestyle. Now if you tink about the animals that live in the world we have created, who mingle with us, domesticated as you may call them, but simply those that do not need the mentality of kill or be killed. They are able to do more than simply eat, sleep, reproduce, and die. They have emotions, and are smarter than you seem to give them credit for. Same sort of change would happen if we found a guy, took away all his possesions, and left him in the jungle. He would most likely go back into a mentality like an animal, or just die.

Hmm, I think that point brings up a good topic for a less ranty thread. I'll post it seperately in a non-null thread in a minute.

Actually, I don't think Moose has said anything dumb (except when he does it on purpose)
