Yeah, but while you're microing your one Marine the Zerg will just send the rest of his forces to your base. It's kind of hard to multitask while you're doing a fight like that.

Yes, with good micro you can manage your marine to survive at least 5 seconds before the bc yamatos you.
and you can dodge a horde of devourers and gaurdians with your flying cc.

Give the marine to a progamer with the micro to rival that of Slayers Boxer and he'll make sure that marine wins.

If your fighting a computer lurker you could easly win. But a 1v1 fight between a lurker and a marine usually dosent happen.
If you fighting another player...By the time they have a lurker your should have more than 1 marine. At least a few marines and a medic, and those could easly kill a lurker. And if you dont have a detector or comsat, just stay away from the lurkers.

if the lurker was burrowed and the marine just walks towards it with open terrain, we all know who wins.
But if the marine can target the lurker and the person has enough micro, the marine has a chance. ( im pretty sure that if it was more realistic, all infantry would carry a grenade or explosive of some sort, then it would be more even)
why compare these two anyways? Its the same as a Firebat vs ultralisk.

I don't know the EXACT specifications of the fight between marine and lurker, therefore I can not make an accurate guess as to who shall win.
