The title was just an exaggeration. No one does NR60 either, but the part about "experts" was pretty accurate. Ironic at that too.

I quit melee ages ago, now I'm stuck with MTG Magus Edition V2 ver7.5
I once used to play money maps, but I quit melee soon after that. We used to have a hell load of fun on Money Maps, me and my friends all trying to do ridiculas stuff(600 worker rush by a protoss player for instance...)
But one by one they left.

However good or bad the money maps are they certainly have changed starcraft forever. Wonder who invented the first 50 stacked mins and 5 vespenes stacked on each side map.... Probably Meat atleast thats the name on the original Fastest.

i think money maps r just a way to play short quick games i dont take em seriously i also dont care about melee records since every1 either winbots or players compstomps

For all the people complaining that money maps destroyed b.net then go to aisia server and all they play is lost temple. Sure they don't speak english but who talks in melee games?

I didn't bother to read many of the posts, but it depends.
It takes most of the strategy and fun outa the game, because no matter how good a microer you are(And micro is the main strategy element in SC, if you wanna mass, go play Evolves), your 10 Defilers, 5 High TEmplar, 20 Zealots, 4 Archons and 2 Siege Tanks will NEVER destroy those 400 Zerglings, 50 Archons, and 200 MArines your 3 enemies have emassed.

Going to another server wont solve the problems that are rampaging through the other half of battlenet, not to mention the steep difficulty curve. Its like playing vs the newbies on US East, and then moving onto NeoGamei.

money maps are dumb it takes away the uniqueness of having to use tactics not like 50 bcs and crap where u had to develope knowledge of the tactics of the units and use them to advantage not all out mass single units crap
