Oh I thought the one in the DLDB was a broken link becuase it kept giving me an error. This time I actualy read the error and it's becuase it told me...

Ok I just copy pasted every terrain into photoshop, made it create a custom 256 color pallete, and there is NO DIFERENCE AT ALL. I also threw in a few gradients to double check if it was applying the change and it was. So basicly the pallete isn't going to be a problem in the least bit.
Thanks for the help, looks like I might be able to get some stuff done this weekend, like a few actual tiles, figure out how blending is going to work, etc =P.
Ok I realized that the pallete also has to have the unit grp's, and the HUD displays, among other thigns...
So I pasted all the unit and buildings, all the terrains, and the HUD displays into 1 image, converted to 256 colors and nothing really changes except the tan color on protoss buildings comes out grainer, if I just recolor them darker then it will be fine. The terrains are still perfect though, so really no worries, although it is going to be time consuimg recoloring protoss buildings, plus I'm sure a few graphics/animations will have to be recolored also.
Also I'm thinking of just greyscaling all unit portraits, this will make them turn out better, and I'm a bit scared that they are going to take up alot of colors. Maybe a few other minor things like that will have to be greyscale ><.
ADDITION:
I've looked at diferent tilesets and they all have a diferent number of groups, with badlands having the most at 1664. And Instalation only has about 1200...
So first is it possible to get Instalation at 1664, and second can I get more than 1664 groups?

Anyone? I still need the link to a working pal edit (or any program that can go from .pal to .wpe and vice versa (the version of pal edit I have is broke somehow ><).
Also does anyone know about the tile groups size thing?
Also I have some dirt to space blends, I'll post tomarow, after I touch them up a bit =P.
