How to make Extended Badlands Bridges in ten steps
=====================================================
Step 1, Make a simple bridge connected to 1 piece of land, however keep the other side connected to nothing. You will also need to convert the bridge to terrain. As you can see here:
Step 2, use your rectangular palette to take away the rough edge of 1 side. As you can see here:
Step 3, Find the similar edges on Both sides of the bridge, then copy and paste them to make them look like they belong there, As you can see here:
Step 4, Fill in the bridge with your rectangular asphalt palette. As you can see here:
Step 5, Make another bridge off to the side, make sure it is the opposite bridge of the one you just made. Now simply convert it into terrain, and then cut off the ends. As you can see here:
Step 6, Now this part gets hard. find similar edges from the opposite bridge and paste them to your current bridge. Make sure that there is a straight line from vortex to vortex of the bridge. Note: they should still look like they belong there. As you can see here:
Step 7, Now as we did before, copy and paste the similar edges and fill in the asphalt, however stop once you have reached your next island of land. As you can see here:
Step 8, Now simply make a new bridge off to the side, convert it into terrain, except this time copy and paste the ends to fit the land, so that your bridge connects. If you find that your bridge cannot connect in any way, go back to your vortexes and raise it up a pixel or lower it a pixel. As you can see here:
Guess What, YOUR DONE!, you've made an extended bridge, don't forget that you can do all kinds of things with bridges. You can make them larger, smaller, you can make intersections and you can even make cities. In my upcoming tutorial i'll show you how to make horizontal bridges and turn bridges into cities. Note: remember, if you decide to turn your bridge the other way, then you may have to use sprites to cover up problems.
