[center]How To Blend
Your guide to learning how to blend
Id actually like to compile a number of basic extended things. Like badlands where street can be made into islands by using bridge tiles. But id like others to submit things to me by pm or something, even if its just screen shots in PNG format, and ill add them in with their name credited.

In just 3 easy steps you can have your own Water to High dirt blend

Step 1: Start off with something like this

Step 2: Search through the mountain tiles to find matching ones like demonstrated

Wow... that's good!
One thing : THIS, I would have been able to do it tongue.gif
Ok... just one question : Can we mix two different terrain set?
For example : Ice and Desert?

The thing is that I rarely make "classic" and simple blends, so I think my tutorials will be too hard.

If you screen shot it step by step i can host the images and fill in the info.

I am no modder, so I might be wrong, but actually you still only use one tileset, where you modified some null tiles to look like the tiles of another tileset. So I would still say no. tongue.gif

Thanks for the terraining help, since I kinda stink when it comes to terrain. Hope you add in more stuff like cliffs, waterfalls etc.

Id like to. As you can see all of the images i use are of high quality and arent blury. They always show up and are clear. The problem is getting them this way takes me a million steps that id rather not preform. I have to have 6 paint windows open just to get a few shots, edit them into smaller sizes so i can upload them to my image host. Then i have to save them as PNGs, upload them all to photobucket, recopy the links into the topic and give info on how to get from step to step.

If people would put some effort into helping out other terrainers and take some shots, this would really get going.

This is where I submitted my high cliff tutorial, but I decided to get rid of all the crap so i don't waste bandwidth wink.gif

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, did I do good, do I get a mineral reward shifty.gif jk, lol, glad I could help, now I don't have to help with any of the harder ones. tongue.gif

Hmmm, someone make a waterfall one, the one in the tutorials DB isnt that good, lets get a better one.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Mp)Excalibur on 2007-01-19 at 19:30:23
Waterfalls are overdone. Staredit doesnt allow a lot of images in one post so im going to have to modify this a bit.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by payne on 2007-01-19 at 19:38:59
You know what would be REALLY cool?
A new topic that :
- Allow members to ask terrain modders to do a certain terrain for them...
- People can ask terrain pro modder to explain how a certain terrain (with a picture!) has could be does!
- These type of things... would save number of topics (that are saved in the DB of the site)
Understand me?

Thanks insane but if you could get me a shot between steps 2 and 3 itd be really helpful.

I guess it would also be helpful if you added that red selection box to indicate which tiles of the piece of cliff you took. Then an arrow and where to put. If someone doesn't get it then, well...
