I have a few more questions. Like you said the car will take damage, how many zombies will it be able to kill before it messes up. Maybe add in a random damage trigger, like maybe a zombies head got stuck in the hood messing up some of the cars mechanics. biggrin.gif

Iunno about youg guys but in real life when you hit somebody with a car, it's usually the person taht gets messed up and just a small dent in the car. You should do a trajectory system to detect some sort of speed the car is going at. usually when a car is going faster and it hits a person it will leave a bigger dent, thus more damage done. I think the death of the zombies shouldb't ne instant, maybe they get dragged along or something like they are clinging on to the car, and they scratch at your engine and windows etc, thus more damage being done.

Just running them over doesn't seem....real...

the damage to the car will depend on how many zombies there are, 2 locations on the car, 1 for the front, and 1 for the sides, zombies hit by the front will take tons of damage and perhaps die, but if hit by the side, they will take less damage

Grid System. You cant really detect specific sides though, unless you combine all these triggers. Probably if you detect the tank moving up, the left and right sides of the grid would be the sides. If you're moving left or right, the top and bottom sides would be the sides. The speed is useless. It doesnt have to be realistic, after all this is a game.

BUT, if you add realism. It could be better because of how it would damage the car and how it would surprise people. I havent seen a car damage system unless I forgot a name of the game.

I've seen a car damage system. An old map called Drunken Driver.scx. If i remember quite correctly, it lost 1 HP per 2 zombies hit. To fix it, you had to go to a garage and get a scv to fix it. This map doesnt have to be realistic though, I mean cmon, zombies arent real.

Are you sure Zombies arent real. tongue.gif Wat if theres for somereason an accident which caused a radioactivity and killed some1 but brought them back with the radioactivity. U dont know for real, also is the Drunken Driver map somewhere in the SEN dl database?
