i like civillian + beacon but i like the dropship idea

I doubt it, Worms had it and I'm guessing basketball came out a good while after that because I never heard of it

I like using the units for spells but then to get different spells you would need alot of people so i think moving civs onto becons is better.
It also depends on how many spells you have.
If you don't have many units to spare, then perhaps you could use the Siege Tank//Burrow Detection methods.
but otherwise, Dropship is best.
It's definitely not the most common, but that's because mappers as general don't really go for originality

I like building. Its like a dropship without the hassle to click, PLUS you can just use a hotkey.
The benefit of a Dropship system is that you can see the names of the units inside. A building will always display "Protoss Zealot" no matter what you rename it. I prefer the aesthetic effect of a Dropship to the back-to-reality feeling of a building system.
Well, supposing you have few enough spells, and a little bit of space or spare unused unit for death counter or spare switch or some other kinda of information sotrage device, then the Siege Tank//Zerg Unit Burrow will work in that you can see the name of it, and you can hotkey it and use hotkeys

Beacons will use as much or more units than dropship and you still name them. Using a method like in Trigger Happy Defense, where you have a menu, only you have named units in the dropship, named "1", "2", etc. And you have Back and More. The limits are Virtually endless of how many spells you can have. Plus its better than the building system because its instantaneous, compared to the building, which has a measure of wait. And with "Instant" Building, it crashes my computer. I say Dropship all the way! But only with numbered units, because spells are in rpg's and rpg's use a lot of units!

It crashes not only your computer, but everyone else's. You have to use ONE, not zero.
as Moose said; One works, 2 doesn't. Sure, that MArine you made won't have full HP, but it's gonna die in the next trigger cycle anyways.
No, they all have their merits and downs, and I still hold to the idea that Siege Tanks and defilers, given a situation I dscribed before, is best, Building is best if you have excess space, and Dropship is best if you have lots and lots of options and an excess on spare units
I think a few stacked buildings would take up less space than a few Dropships. Besides, if you're using it for spells, does the HP of the units you build even matter?

The thing I don't like about Siege Tanks is that you have to re-hotkey them after you cast the spell.

There an easy way to counter this problem, and I have done it.
Yup. Usually I use unsieged->sieged as the combo, and not sieged->unsieged. The first one is instant, while the second one takes a second or two. Just give the sieged tank to a comp that's not an ally of the computer owner of the DTs you remembered to place around the unsieged tank, and they'll attack it. It will immediately unsiege, and when it has you can just give it back to the human player.
