Also, what the hell is so good about a gig if nobody will use all that empty space? Google will have problems in the future because they "Won't have enough space". I don't even reach the hotmail limit myself so gmail is useless. There's absolutely no use for it.
The only reason you'd need that is if your a pack-rat and keep every E-Mail you get. I don't think anyone does that.

The metric system for measurment while very similar to that of computational measurment is not exactly the same. Because 1 kilometre truly is 1000 metres and not 1024 metres.
DUH, he said a gig was 1000, and you even put that in the topic title. I was proving you wrong, it's kinda my thing. I'm uber good at math, Did algebra 1 in 6th grade, believe it or not.

Like mobomojo said in an earlier post, its easier to assume things than to go to www.gmail.com and CHECK IT OUT. jeezz
I read that somewhere, and thought it was true, so I didn't feel the need to check.

Since you dont get it, its still in the Beta stage of development. So for right now its invite only basis that way they can get feedback and fix the bugs and such before the final version goes out.
When gmail goes completely to the public it will blow away any other e-mail service hands down.
Some how I doubt that, the best things get the least attention. Like everyone says AIM is better than MSN, while MSN is better. Same with Yahoo, and Hotmail.
