I hate the beacon system because the civic walks crooked and sometimes goes on the wrong beacon. It also has a few seconds delay. I like the building unit spells. The creator just needs to say what units are what spells in the brief.

It all depends on how you do it. Beacon system can only take one location. You create a location on your buyer and if the buyer rubs into a powerup that has a spell name, then it activates.
Sometimes units do walk a bit funny, but I would advise not to use beacons. Just use the powerup and it will work.
Dropship system is good only if you have the units... Of course it adds interesting depth if you use it in different ways.
I like the building system because you can concentrate on the battle rather than looking at a beacon/dropship and doing your thing.
It all depends on what you like. Of the three, beacon is the most user friendly. Building units would be my second choice since it can be used for many things. Dropship is limiting your units, use it if you have the units.
