the brutes without flags dont have brute shots(i dont think i cant remember its been a while) i think u should use the second 1(not tassadar) for the brute that started the covenant fight the guy with the hammer that u fight to beat the game

well, ive seen the the brutes (non-leaders) use Brute Plasma Rifle Bruteshot, and maybe (im not exactly sure) a covenant carbine.

I did find some completed halo maps for melee.
I found one for bloodgulch that seems the most accurate, and can be turned into a UMS map if someone would devote the time to add triggers, and add in hte red/blue bases (the maker added in minerals instead).

well, back to my map, soon ill soon update this post and add ingame screenshots.

The Flaggs on their shoulder dont mean anything...

I think the ranking of brutes was the no armor or the leather stuff...
Then some of them had blue armor on the sholders ect...
Then the flagg...

Im anxious te see how your maps going to turn out because After I played halo2 I decided to give up because it would be impossiable to my knoledge to make a SC game that resembeled that masterpiece...

But I will help you all the way... just because I didnt think I could do the terrain right doesn't mean you couldn't

Yup! It can be good, Of course you will need to work alot on it to make a good Halo map and by the way call it halo 2 at least, becauze no one will play Halo maps. If they see Halo 2 the will see its new and they might play!

well, when i was plyaing co-op with my friend on halo 2, cortana said "watch out for the leader, he has a brute shot!"
and then a brute with a flag on his shoulder came out of the teleport thingy.
so I'm assuming that the flag indicates rank.

The map terrain isnt based off of any campains, so it was easy, because i wasnt trying to replicate anything.

I do have a greate bloodgulch replication here.

The armor does indicate rank, but im not going to included the elite gaurds becuase, theres no hierarchs in my map for the elite gaurds to gaurd, so im just going to keep it as it is so far.

My friend was playing the last level on heroic and he killed several brutes using shotguns, so aparently they are simmilar to 117 in this sense, they use anything good at hand.

The brutes with leather seem to be more beserker types, who mostly drop their weapons in favor of pounding you down to the ground.


well, for those who want to see what my map looks like, heres a protected version.
all players work except for Player 5 and Player 6 (the last two spartan slots)
Player 4 gets all the available weapons, not the vehicles.
The wep pickup doesnt work, only the switch.
both cove players work fine sofar.

1.) they only use brute plasma rifles or brute shots mabye sometimes carbine also if u were using a shotgun on one it would take a while to kill because shotguns dont work on them

i cant dl ur map till its full version or i finish my halo blood gulch map which i am almost done with just adding more game types and more abilitys

How do you figure that no one will play Halo maps? Yes people have had bad luck with Halo maps in the past but I don't think that would halt people's playing of them...
Anyways I think you should work out a duel-gunning system like in Halo 2. You could base it on a grid system of some sort.

lol, im not going to make my map a FPS game, im just gunna base it off of halo, the story is more of a spin off and doesnt completly fit in with the halo storyline.

But hey, neither does alot of the halo maps ive seen.

Ive changed it to the brutes, and their names are:

Brute [Brute Shot]

Brute Leader [Brute Shot]

Brutes and elite will use any weapons they can find in halo2, but they preferr covenant weapons.
