I just had a little test with Deathknight. This map is going to rock the community. Period.
Included, I'm adding increased speed (deathknight almost died when he saw that work) and more.
Bullettime may not be as possible as I orginally thought, but I'm trying.
What do you mean by increased speed? Like moving fast to fastest or what?
The game will be faster than fastest. Ask deathknight himself. "The one" attacks so bloody fast its not funny.
Since this is such a huge and cool project that will shake the Starcraft community as we know it, I've increased the quaility of all the sounds, from 70 megs to 124 megs. It sounds absolutely amazing!
EDIT: Heres a big glory picture of a building. The ugly thing at the bottom of the building was by me, when me and deathknight were brainstorming how to get in buildings.
this is what the ugly thing at the bottom will/might look like in the end...
It looks nice, but make it deeper. If players are *passing by* we dont want them going in there unless they want to.
Maybe a beacon or something at the entrance for the less observative players?
um... no lol. It wouldn't look like something you would see in real life would you?
True. I thought it would be perhaps a bit...closer to the bottom...like in front of the entrance.
Can you edit the bitmaps of any of the doodads? Or would that not work on upload to other comps?
nope. I fixed that door anyways. If you can change doodads or anything it would have to be a mod, this is a map.
Yes, we want to keep this battle.net compatible. It will spread easier to more people, and they'll learn about SEN :UBEREVIL:
So nice looking and btw how are you boosting the spped. ( other than hyper triggers )
Player 13 (see tutorials DB)
OMG! Amazing Sounds! Awesome Buildings! BULLET TIME TOO!
* *Yoshi da Sniper has heart-attack*
DeathKnight, Yoshi, I must say, the skyscraper buildings do add into the matrix effect... It looks amazing, especially, if ever you do pull off the bullet time, kudos, kudos... this map has inspired me and i'm sure many others as well to create better maps for a greater staredit.net... ( ALTHOUGH I AM DELAYED

)
I am wondering you were able to make The one move faster then fastest?
Is that really even possible if so would you inform the whole staredit community so we can use it?

Yeah I'm ... delayed ... too. Meaning I'll talk about it but prob never get around to doing it.

Hmm...I say it doesn't really make much of a difference to my maps. Other than the bullet-time special effect, having everything on a map move faster isn't of much use.
Now if it works for only one or a couple of units, it would be a different situation.
I was thinking about doing bullet-time like this...
1) Player has a large location CENTERED on him (10x10 perhaps).
2) Player engages enemies.
3) Player pushes bullet-time button (I would put a siege tank somewhere in map and if u siege it, matrix comes on for like 20 seconds, then tank reverts to normal).
4) Observers from another computer move constantly to the Player's 10x10 location (with hyper triggers) and since the location is ALSO centered on the Player, the Player's unit moves SLOW.
5) All enemies around the player turn into a neutral player (p12 or a neutral player).
6) All the player has to do is to shoot and click.
Yeah it's not perfect, but its a shot

I really don't understand this part. Why would the enemy player need to send Observers? for a rippling effect? I don't see how that would slow the player down.
It's a trick when you have like a bunch of zerglings burrowed and try to run over them your person slows down its the same with obs.
Hmm...never knew that. I should try it sometime. Approxiamtely how many observers do we need anyways?
Moved thread to its own forum. Here we go boys. I'll begin organizing everything more properly into topics.
