You guys are going to love this.
"Alternate Matrix RPG" is going to be a huge map with several musics.
Here are so far the music I have:
Click0rz hereEnjoy!
More game info later.
Alpha of the intro coming up.
Hmm...so are they all from the Matrix? Most of them sound like it. Other just are...technoish.
Oh mapping stuff. I thought this was another forum rpg you were installing...

Well, considering it is the mapping forum...
We want more Yoshi! MORE!
Maybe sound effects too?

We want more Yoshi! MORE!
More
of Yoshi? Or more
from Yoshi. Cuz that could make a lot of difference...
Ack, you know what I mean! More FROM Yoshi!
lmao... what terrain is it in? Because I made some skyscrapers in Starforge... see for yourself

OMG! I never thought you can do that. Now the units can jump building to buildings!
you can do lots of things with Starforge

. Maybe I should use sprites... make it better.. maybe so you can literaly go 'behind' the building and not see where you are... hmm
I don't think you can do that. Unless you do the lights off trick...which would make the unit disappear. But then, you won't really be able to see the building and...yeah.
But all this should be solved through the use of customs.
nono I mean not using those buildings, but by using a bunch of overlapped 'sprites' wich you can make appear 'on top' of anything or 'below' it

EDIT: maybe I can be the 'city designer' or something if you like it

i'll try and do the 'sprite' buildings(if I can)...
This give me so many new ideas to add to my maps! Arg, why didn't I find this earlier!
My favourite piece of music out of all of those are intro.wav
The Map will be badlands.
This map will make Staredit.net truely stand out, because I'm gonna try and replicate bullet time. You have no idea how ####ing cool that'll be.
a space skyscraper

(one with crap on sides and one without)
I am proud to annoce that deathknight will be helping me make this

partner ship map
...
8(!
Anyway, Yoshi, can you define what you mean by bullet-time? As in everything slowing, or everything pausing as the view twirls around?
I dont want to get anyones hopes up. Its theoricial, so I zip it for now.
Hint: The game will be recommended to be run in "slowest"
Well, isn't that kinda of a dead giveaway of what to expect at a minimum for bullet-time? 8p!
And yes, I do know that stuff like this has never been done before, so anything resembling bullet-time would be nice.
And a small tad thing. Wouldn't some people over B.Net mistake bullet-time for lag?
Your assumption of my bullet time is totally wrong

Just let me do the triggering. If it works, I post it here.
I might have to download starforge now. I'll have to figure a way around the graphical glitches involved w/ stacking...
(where can I get it?)
Ah well...sorry then.
On another note, wouldn't it be fun to "fly" and to fight an endless amount of Smiths? And maybe even end up on a dark "real" world!
Maybe even a system of entering the Matrix, and you have to have a bit of teamwork and have an operator control the ship and get people in and out of the Matrix.
*shivers and drools in anticipation*
Flying - Yes. When the one realizes hes "THE one" then he can fly, has more hp and is faster.
You basically discribed most of the game right there. Theres going to be an operator, the one, and 3 players.
One more question/thing to consider about. In maps where there's a lot of people to play (more than 4+, most notable is Fleet Command), they usually don't play very well since getting a full house takes kind of forever these days. Maybe the map only needs the One (though it's damn near impossible to win) and an operator, while the 3 other players are there for support.
The game needs 3 players minimum. The one, the operator, and at least 1 player.
Sounds Good. Im ganna work extra fast to get out more maps.
