PS3 is definitely going to come out, and if youve watched really closely at sony's production plans, they plan to go as high as PS9(they hope). Also, comparing the xbox and ps performance is not really the best way to find out whats best since they both shoot for two totally differnet styles of play and main genres. I dont know about you, but i dont look towards ps2 for a serious shooting game or at xbox for a serious rpg.

It's gonna come out. My uncle works for Sony, and he said that it's coming out late 2005/2006, I think. I myself can't wait to see what it'll be like compared to the PS2.
