That's alright, Coko, since guessing is the only thing you can go with when there's not enough information provided.

Right now, I'm going back to 3 computer players, Terran, Zergs, Protoss. Each race's buildings, all except the following list, can be entered, and actions can be done in the buildings from buying items to training better units.

Terran: Supply Depot, Missle Turret, Bunker, Refinery
Zerg: Creep/Sunken/Spore Colonies, Extractor, Nydus Canal
Protoss: Pylon, Photon Cannon, Shield Battery, Assimilator

All the units able to be built in SC: BW will be trainable. However, some of the more boring units may be dropped, like Arbiter and Science Vessel (pretty hard to detect when they cast spells, so it's pretty hard to give them experience and levels then. An alternate method is to make WoS like all the other Level-Up-To-New-Unit RPGs, in which if you get a certain number of kills, your unit is removed and a new, better one is created. WoS3 using this method would follow this trend, but offer choosing options in different paths. E.g.: From SCV, you can level as 1) Marine, 2) Vulture, 3a) Goliath or 3b) Wraith, 4a) Siege Tank or 4b) Battlecruiser. If you chose 3a, you will go to 4a; 3b, 4b, etc.

In the end, which system to be chosen will be done, of course, by me, but if y'all can persuade me to go one way or the other... that would work too.

I don't like the "lol u got 50 killz u evolved to level 2 n00b33!!!" Personally, I prefer a leveling up system like... well, as long as it has an experiance system... thats not gayly done, I should be fine tongue.gif

Define "gayly done". (BTW, gaily is the proper spelling)

gaily? -.- yea', don't correct my spellin' thanx anyways. Gayly done? Well jus' do the map and if its done the way some maps are done then I'll tell ya tongue.gif

[Ok, serously though]

Gayly Done -

Like in CRASH RPG EXTREME VERSION BLUE VS RED VS CAT v.109 FINAL
You get 50 kills and your unit is replced .. replaced* instantly... I know that doesn't clerify much, but I hope you get the general idea.

P.S. -
Sadly,
This will most likely be my last post, as when Christmas break is here I will be out nearly 19/7 ... especially when I get DDR w00000000000000000000t!

Got Sims 2 for Christmas and... let's just say it's anything BUT productive for WoS3!

Never fear, I'm still keeping in contact with Deathknight, who's helping me with some AI scripts.

Progress Report:

Decided interface for all three races:

Protoss and Terran will keep the percentage-health leveling up from WoS2. Protoss units will have shield where needed, which can be recharged at allying Shield Batteries. Both Terran and Protoss can Heal, likely only in the Command Center and Nexus, respectively. For both races, every kill/razing you do will earn you Minerals. In addition, Items and Spells also help keep you alive in the battlefield.

For Zergs, instead of using percentage health for level up, each level will grant you access to more units. However, you do need to harvest minerals for yourself. Kills and razings is applied into leveling up. Aside from the individual levels, three "Ranks" will be distinguished with Hatchery, Lair, and Hive, and thus the level of units available. Healing will NOT be available, since health regenerates with time (you'll just have to use your other units for a while). Zergs will not have Trigger-made Spells; all regular spells except Broodling will be available in their respective units once you reach the Rank needed.

Sorry that everything's moving at the speed of a Reaver; the wait will be worth it.

EDIT: Locked indefinitely since nobody, not even me, seems to care.
