Microphone??!?!

Nintendo has been known for making durable products.

A gameboy left out in the elements for 3 weeks, being run over with a lawn mower. Worked fine

Dropped 2 stories onto cement, duct tape fixed it all.

X-Play on TechTv (I refuse to call it G4TechTv) Did a test with all three of the consoles, guess who emerged victorious? (Dropped from human height, ps2 died right there, hit with a metal disc thing, Both survived (Ps2 was eleimenated, xbox + gc went on). Dropped from a 1 Story ledge, both survived. Hit with a sledge hammer. XBox Died, gc lives on!

light green.....but other than that my DS is functioning just fine. As of right now, what are the games out for DS?

1. The Sims: Urbz in the City
2. Super Mario 64
3. Spiderman 2

What else? I can't seem to remember....

Hmmm. I should get the DS for its durability. I usually get pissed at my games and whip them at stuff so a DS will prevent me from going to get another....for a while.

pretty happy with my ds i just got, not too happy with mario, or the metroid demo. i like all the new content they added to mario 64 (mini games are really good on it, and map changes) but the controls are terrible the ways they have them set up. having to run while holding a button is fine for super mario brothers, but not in this game. i think that metroid looks like crap, and doesnt play like the prime games in the least (control wise, jumping is such a hassle) I think the ds has a ton of potential ( looking forward to warioware) but not impressed with the bad controls in these games at all.

I got a Nintendo DS for Christmas, and with what money I have left, I'm going to use on a Sony PSP! Sweet isn't it, having both? Or at least in March...

Taken from another topic, X-Box did good only because it was made by microsoft. There was a ps1 before (duh) so ps2 is gonna do a little better, but Nintendo has stayed Video Games for the past 30 years, so maybe the only reason they released X-box and ps2 was because they had no money

The only reason SONY and Microsoft, both one of the biggest and richest franchises in the industry, released Playstation 2 and XBOX due to lack of funds? I don't think so

I think the online multiplayer is crap on the DS, like im going to be able to get 16 people at once with DS within 30 ft of me -.-. In the future do you think it would be possible to connect it to like a wireless router and play multiplayer with people from anywhere?

The DS will go online, as will the PSP. You might want to wait, the Xbox wasn't online when it first came out you know.

If anything, Nintendo is the company that is dying. They are slowly killing themselves by not being as adaptive and innovative as their competitors (SONY, Microsoft). Right now you don't see them struggling, but in the future it may become a little more obvious.

SONY and Microsoft both have empires of other products (hardware and software respectively) and they can continue to feed money to their console section of development even if it isn't making enough money.

Nintendo, however, only owns the handheld market and they have to compete with SONY and Microsoft in the console market. They have to make their own games (Zelda, Metroid, Mario, etc) to keep themselves alive and keep the cash coming in so that they can continue to make better systems.

Though I could be wrong and Nintendo could be right with their simplistic approach to gaming.
