Actually, I'm fairly sure SC2 will NOT be coming out any time soon. As far as I know Blizzard hasn't even started on it, and in one thing i read on their website they seemed to imply that they would maybe come back to the world of starcraft in the future if they felt like it. I can't see it coming out until '08 at the earliest.

No, they probably have at least started SC2, if not thats really sad (which its probably true) but I think Starcraft is too popular, WC has the most expansions, so its probably not doing so well, and diablo come to think of it..

I play Starcraft instead of Warcraft because I'm a real bad Warcraft player and I never liked the game anyway.

I see Starcraft 2 coming out in 'o7 or 'o8. The starcraft world is not dead, seeings how they are making the much anticipated Starcraft: Ghost. After that, they might make another warcraft expansion pack and then work on SC2. It obviously will make money, and that's all they care about.

Expansion packs are made for money. Not much else.

Hints of SC2 being made are everywhere, from the units represented in the war3 engine to many other things. It will come out eventually.

As long as bnet stays up until Sc2 comes out I'll be happy

Yup. All it does is check for the CD in the drive. It has no false data in it, so its uber easy to burn.

I got SC BW to work on a diff comp away from home with just a complete iso file of bw and a Starcraft folder with all the files in it, I didnt even run installation

I agree Star craft ghost needs to come out sooner and star craft 2 is coming next year i think.

well l nvr liked playing wc3 much and always liked sc better. I really want sc ghost to come out.

I tried actually making a map on WC3 but all I could do is place some units and edit stats. The triggers are complicated and stuff...It is overpriced as far as I see it. 40-30$ for a whole lot of crappy melee and repetetive TD maps on UMS. The chat option is also crappy...You cant even see the text when people talk! (Well not very easily, gotta put the specticals on )

The War3 Latency System is also much changed. The host of a custom game has a significantly lower time from "time of click" to when the unit acts upon that click than all of the other players. It makes any kind of micro oriented games particularly stupid to play.

I'd rather have another expansion than SC2. That way we know Blizz wont screw it up like they did WC3.

Amen. War3 sucks for all kinds of micro. It's purely tactical, with pretty images attached. Why not just make it like one of those old simulation type games?

Im only gonna say that
When starcraft 2 come's out it better be before I get out of school 2007" because I really don't want to get a full time job...and waste free time on sc2. Btw Blizzard rep said if they were planning it it would likely be out in 2006 after frozen throne is released.

yea me 2, if i twas an all new game instead of an expansion, it will take long to make if they didn't make SC2 abd expansion

i'm not getting excided over SC2 yet because it's gona be along while befor it comes out, i'm getting excided over the 1.12 patch because thatscoming sooner and i want to see what it's gona be like

2005 : Busy with updates for World of Warcraft and Guild Wars. Moving their programmer's to SC: Ghost.
2006: SC: Ghost finally out.
2007: Plan to start SC 2.
2008-2011: Working on it.
2012: Release the game.
2012+: It's so screwed up like WC 3 and they receive complaints so they never plan anything to do with SC ever.

I kinda exaggerated it, but as you see... SC2 won't be out before most of you become adults.

WC1 actually looks pretty cool. I've heard rumor that a fire in the game would be just 1 big red square, but obviously it's better than that. For 1991 (I was 1 year old then!), it would have been a best-seller... if anyone owned PC's back then.

Diablo 1 was basically the same for the time it came out. Now there are too many hacks for it and Blizzard gave up making patches since D2: LOD is much more popular.

Unfortunately the fact that Blizzard's still making patches for SC will only mean that they're still reluctant to give it up and start SC2. Well, at least it's better than nothing.

Comp Suxorz... and i actualy have $80 saved for when my dad buys a new comp i can buy War3... Stupid Comp...

If they said they will start on it in 1990 by right now (2005) it wouldnt be out. what im saying is its not coming out
