Gamecube has no online play just to remind you.

Since RE4 is developed FOR the cube FIRST, BUT will be ported to the PS2, it's safe to say it will be optimized for the cube, rather than the PS2. I'm not saying the PS2 graphics are weak, they are harder to optimize than the cube's or Xboxes. I doubt the graphics of RE4 will be better or even equal on the PS2 versus the cube, but the game is not even out yet, so let's just wait shall we? You want some examples?

So? There are games that look better on ps2 than other consoles. Burnout three looks better on PS2. MGS seriers looks better on ps2 (Twin Snakes looks gay). Just because a game is origionally made on one system doesn't mean it will suck for another. Back to MGS...built on playstation...works fine on Gamecube. And just because it was built on the gamecube has nothing to do with what I said. So what if RE4 is made for GC...its bs that they have it in the first place. Gamecube has nintendo characters...xbox has awesome games like Fable and Halo....can't you leave us our Metal Gear and Resident Evil T.T ? And the game could be ported and still be good. If they take their time on it, then it could even look as good as it does on Gamecube. From what I saw of the game...it's not too revolutionary in the graphics department.

Just to remind you that "consoles" were created to have a playable system in your house, to give entertainement to the owner; not pay XX more bucks to play online to games you could play on your PC.

And Gamecube does have online possibilities... They just are more focusing on the home-experience as for now (which is totally fine).

whatever you do, don't get an x-box. Halo is amazingly over-rated. Controller is the worst of the three. Only games i see as worth playing: Ninja gaiden, KOTOR 1 and 2, and that new DOA fighter. Those are the only games that come to mind i would even consider playing.

Metal Gear Solid 3 has the best graphics of any game ever released. The movie graphics are the same as game graphics and they designed the game carefully, down to a single blade of grass...

Well MGS 3 does have great graphics and i think the controllers for XB are the ugliest,clunkiest(if thats even a word j/k i know it isnt) pieces of i have ever seen and halo 2 sucks the only thing good about H2 is how you can steal the purple flying things but other than Halo 1 owns it but GC is alright i only like a couple games for it but as of now i think i will still get a PS2

Your MGS point makes NO sense. How the hell can you compare a PS1 game to a version redone for a next generation system? I mean... OBVIOUSLY it's gonna look better, cmon.

I'm not saying that making a PS2 version equal to the Gamecube version is impossible, it will take a lot of work since the PS2 is the hardest system to develop for compared to the Xbox or the cube. That is why I predict the PS2 won't be as optimized for the PS2 since it was originally a cube game.

I already gave you 3 valid points, but still you stubbornly persist. Look at Viewtiful Joe and you will see that the game it was made for "cube" is better than the port which is the PS2.

Even more recent is Viewtiful Joe 2. The version on the PS2 is inferior compared to the cubes. If you don't believe me, go to www.gamespot.com

RE4 is coming out on the 11th and I'll be sure to get it then. When the PS2 version comes out, get yours. Let's see who gets the last laugh. =)

Thats bs. When the next gen consoles came out they were going for a gaming system capable of graphics of computer quality. Multiplayer just makes games live longer...so why not make an internet service?



I'm not an employee of a game magazine and its not my job to see difference in games on different consoles. All I said is that some games have looked better on ps2 than xbox. Jeez.



I wasn't talking about ps1 comptared to Gamecube. I was comparing MGS2,3 graphics on the ps2 to MGS1 graphics on the Gamecube. It was from a different company and it looks goofy.




Gamecube has just as many awesome franchises. Why did they have to take our ps2 exclusives?

There are more ps2 online games than xbox online games. Most of EA's sports lineup is online only for ps2....and the thing about bad graphics on ps2 is a pile of bs.....Final Fantay 12....need I say more?

well l got a Ps2 and an xbox but l prefer the xbox rather that the ps2 althought the p2s if good for games like grand theft auto and xbox for racing games and first person shooter games

PS2 controls really suck... it doens't even fit in ur hands properly... The games are really boring and graphics suck... Xbox has better games Halo2, Mechassault2, Splinter Cell 3 (March), Crimson Skies, Forza Motorsport... so Xbox owns...

Well they invented newer controllers now for xbox and they're much smaller and better.


Those feel so odd now. After using like the n64 controller for so long, i switched back and was like, whoa this feels weird now.


There's more ps2 games than xbox, period. But the % of online games and non online games, xbox has a higher percentage.


Yea i'd much prefer an xbox over a ps2. I'd even prefer a gamecube over a ps2.

Stupid, why they coming out with an xbox2 when they just recently released halo2?!?

They've got to wait like at least one or two more years before releasing xbox2. It's just like Blizzard releasing Starcraft Ghost then couple months later they pop out sc2. They have to wait for their most recent release to sort of "die" out before releasing another huge release.

Ps2 sux because i think many of their games have bad graphics, gamecube is ok but too bad they dont have as many features as those of xbox or ps2. Xbox i think is the best because of their great games, like halo and halo2. It's really because of halo which xbox is so popular now.
