Ordanarily I'd say cube, but I'm hooked on Halo 2 at the moment, so get X-Box.

Depends on what you want.

Xbox looks a lot more realistic, and has more powerful hardware. Plus the HD biggrin.gif

Game cube has lesser realistic, but much more smoother animations/frame rate.

You should just buy the one that has more games that you want.

X-Box blows, all people buy it for is Halo games which therselves are overrated, and because it has a built in DVD player and overnet gaming on the T.V... X-Box has the crappiest controls and crappy games. PS2 has some the best games like Grand Theft Auto series and also has a DVD player, pretty good controls, and alot better other games.

But in my eyes Gamecube is better, good graphix, best controls, its own company, alot of best games and such.

Gamecube has crappy game library. Its best games are ones taken from other systems =/. You should wait for xbox2 =D. But both Xbox and Ps2 have some nice titles just released. For ps2...GTA SA, MGS 3, DBZ 3, Silent Hill 4, GT 4, Soon Tekken 5 (=D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Xbox has Halo2, Fable, Kotor 2 (think ps2 has it too), iono some others i can't remember =p.

Xbox, Then GameCube, Then Ps2.

If you like classic Nintendo games, then Gamecube. If you want less 'kiddy' games like lots of blood and gore, go x-box. I like gamecube for Pikmin, Super Smash Bros., and people I know say WindWaker is good and Viewful Joe is too, even though they're old titles. It's too bad I got X-box instead of GCN.

Rofl. Ps2 is by far the best. There are games on the PS2 that are just as good as high graphics games on xbox. Finalfantasy X/X-2, Zone of the Enders 2, Metal Gear Solid 3. Plus fighting games are HORRIBLE on xbox. That clanky remote does those game no good. But I have to say that Halo is like the best fps controls on console. Plus PS2s are much easier to back games up on. And the new slim PS2....

BUT, find PS2 to break easily. It could break if you held it up and dropped it. You could drop x-box and GCN from a one story building and they would still work. If you hit x-box and GCN with sledgehammer, x-box breaks but a little ductape and GCN good to go! Nintendo always has durable products. tongue.gif

Funny how the gamecube is on the thread title, but is NOT a poll choice. Anyway, I can't really tell you about Xbox or PS2 since I only have a gamecube, so I'll tell you about the cube. It's more of a console that you play by yourself or when your friends are over... Online, you will have to stick with your PC. Nintendo itself makes some high quality games so at least you can expect some good 1st party titles. Resident Evil is just around the corner and I assume it will work better on the cube than the PS2. I think that the PS2 is a fragile system and of the 3, it is the weakest since it came out first. Xbox is a nice system since it has a strong online system going, but the fact is that most of the good titles are on the PC.

How can a game work better on another console? The only thing that differs really is controls. I mean, the Gamecube graphics of RE4 could be done on the PS2...Ps2 may be the oldest system...but it still hangs with the other two. It is not obselete and it is still very powerful. OH and btw..Fable is overrated. Its not as insanly customizable as you think. And it gets old running through paths slashing through monsters. Plus it is pretty damn short.

hes rite, and with the deals both have you can probly get 2 controllers for each system 2 games for each system and each system for probly about 250, then youd have about 50 left, but if you want 1 or the other, i'm gonna have to go with x box, although the controls are a bit complex the gameplay is great the harddrive space kicks ass, i've played over 30 games and saved some massive files, and it still says i havent used more then like 1/5000 of the space, the graphics are good, you can also burn music to it, some r and rw cds will work.

if you know someone who can "mod" your xbox you can get it on xbox live free, and play ps2 and ps1 games, and even put an emulator on it (probly like a old nintendo 1 but still)

and yes all of this possible, but a good chunk of it is illegal lol

X-Box is out of hand, you'd just support Bill (which is innitially just dumb anyway). PS2 is a good choice if you want to play racing/sport games, or just have a handy DVD player.

Number one choice is of course the Gamecube for its numerous games (that don't need any more recognisation to say they're good). Mario, Zelda, Samus, etc...

And since the NGC is only 130 bucks, you can get PLENTY of other games/game-pads/accessories till you can reach that 300 bucks these awfully expensive consoles costs...

If you don't like those rpgs...maybe you are playing the wrong genre...People complain about Xenosaga and Final Fantasy games because of the uber long cutscenes so they are NOT just fighting. And who cares if I support Bill Gates. Who cares if he doesn't need any more money. He does things well and good for him. He can't help that he is successful. And PS2 and Xbox are like $20 more than Gamecube. Mine as well go spend the tid bit more money for WAY better results. Gamecube has nice games but nothing new. Sequels and games they took from others systems. (Resident Evil 1, RE 4, MGS Twin Snakes). Oh and Katamari Damachi ( I think its on Gamecube). That game is fun =p.

gamecubes only like 99 and it comes with controllerand 2 games, and if you get it at the rite palce they give you anextra controller, and xbox is only 150 and it comes with 3x that of the gamecube but it all depends on where you go to get it, and i like cutscenes there awesome but i just dont like thoses rpgs, some rpgs are ok for a short time but they kinda just suck from the ones i've played, but i've heard of a few new online ones RYL, Ever quest (also known as ever crack because of how adicting it is) <-- good reason to try it lol, some castle of camelot game and a few others

You should get that Box of an X because it is not as ugly as a cube and it has cooler games. (This is my own opinion so...)

X-box is the way to go. Much better quality in my opinion.
But it depends on what sort of games you want to play, and whether you like X-box or PS2 controllers better.
