I think starcraft will never die, its still wildly popular in Korea for one and also played alot in US/Europe. Not to mention it'll run on just about every personal pc out there so there are still people buying it like its a "new" game. And then there are people like me that have played and loved playing it for about 7 years :-). I'll admit melee got old after a while, mostly when less people played good melee maps and ladder got old as soon as it was cheater dominated... but UMS... well... UMS is FOREVER

. I've got over 2k UMS maps, I don't think I could ever get bored of SC... just over Christmas break I played Civilization World over 70 times(a somewhat popular UMS on West which takes a few hours, you advance from Stone Age to Nano Age) as well as made some new versions of it to fix bugs from previous ones. Anyways there are tons of fun UMS maps and there not ALL too big for b.net... plus nothing is too big for b.net if u can direct people to a website to dl the map or you play with them alot. I mostly play with the same 200 or so people on west... so I can almost always find a game or person to play :-). Anyways SC won't be boring until there are 10 people on battle.net and 9 of them speak korean, hehe....

You're right about all that stuff. Thing is people are still leaving starcraft so they can play the so called superior and succesor game of starcraft, WcIII. Those people are brainwashed and messed up; we need to save em.
