I think its getting WAY TO Old now i'm getting sick of playing it now... Mostly i play WArcraft 3 now...

Yes B.net UMS Starcraft is getting quite boring but it's mainly becasue of a lack of B.net compatible maps(Fast downlaoding maps). Most of the maps out there roaming around B.net and boring and stupid. I mainly Log on SC to go to clan (U), Map Night and testing my maps.
But I use Starcraft for mapmaking.

SC MapMaking > Wc Mapmaking
Public SC B.net UMS < Public WC B.net UMS

Yes it is getting broring. The only fun part of sc is making maps. I havent played a non map testing map on b-net for a long time. None of them are fun. It is fun to go to channels and talk to people or do stupid things in them.

Yeah sc is getting old, l try making maps 4 it and barely evr play it on the net. I just want starcraft 2 to come out

play some other game for a while or just live a normal life away from the computer for a bit, then it mite be less boring when you get back

No. As long as melee still exists it will not be old. As long as people still create new melee maps it will not be old. As long as you always have an opponent it will not be old. As long as people continue to make innovative and original maps it will not be old. As long as people pour their creativity into maps it will not be old. As long as there are communities centered around the game it will not be old.

No! StarCraft will be always! It will be forever untill SC2 doesnt exists....
IMHO

1) sc will be forever
2) i love sc
3) it will be forever
4) lots of people play it, so it has to stick around
5) SC2 is coming soon which will boost the low minded week confidence of people like the one who made this topic... maybe there will be a expansion for SC2 like there was brood war for SC original... maybe there will be SC3... maybe in 50 years time there will be SC 8

ok....take everything that beer said except for the last part about the wc mapping and under, take the opposite of all of that and that is how i feel....thanks beer for saving me some work ur a good mod

starcraft is basicly the most wellfare store bought online game and it is old, since like 1996 or something

The Thing is, it's because we play it constantly, if you had your sc cd broken for half a year and got another cd, You would play it non stop for a while, then it would go stale again.

That kinda happened to me. The cd-drive in my computer with all my Sc stuff got corrupted so I started playing Wc3 in my dad's compu since I had nothing else to do since he didn't want me to install Sc there.

Getting boring, but I still play it sometimes.

SC is old, but it's never boring and is so much better than the other blizzard games.

[SIZE=14]star craft is getting just a little old but when star craft 2 comes it will get people to want sc and sc2 so pretty soon it will be back and running ;) ;) ;)

Based on how blizzard made warcraft 3 and WoW, i bet they'll also do a terrible job on SC2 as well...

Give them a chance to learn from their mistakes. They thought they were improving the games.

SC is very old, it's not boring because I make sexy ass maps which non of you can handle =P

sc is really old but it wont die. people who play it a lot quit after awhile. and there are always new people. sc ums are boring in my opinion. melee is cool and fun since progamers only play melee and they even broadcast it on tv.

Well i still play melee map because they usually are always different, new strategie etc. UMS on battle net are boring long and always the same...

But i do think it is still the best blizzard game. DiabloII and other are always the same thing, warcraft 3 is pretty cool but it takes like 3 hours to destroy one building...

I just hope for a starcraft 2 which would be grrrreat!
Or for starcraft ghost which look really cool

SC will only be fun if there are Use Map Settings games being played, Cause melees games are boring for me nowadays, I only make maps and also play a few games on SC. But, I only join Map Making Clans, though.

i think it is just a bit but if starcraft 2 or ghost came out i would just play them

starcraft is old, i agree with that, but i live for sen, its really the only reason i play starcraft....and something to do on long summer nights, rainy days, or in the winter, cause its the best game on the computer, if not, the best rts. I'f a sc2 does come out, i would hope the editor would give us a whole new world of options, unlimited strings, more trigger complexity, bigger maps, more kinds of terrain and of course alot more units. I'm just saying, its really the only fun game online, just play with ur friends and laugh at stupid things, and do the near-impossible, like make a high-templar like scv by having 4 scvs moving one behiend the other very closely.

I'm just saying, we (probobly) live just for the map making, and for the moment.

Sc ums boring?? You crazy? New maps get released almost everyday. You can expect new things everytime. If you want quality ones, get em from the DLDB


Melee always different/!?!? All i see are money maps and LT. That's nothing new nor different. They need to play other melee maps, like ones we or blizzard made.


Yea, because all the melee maps are the same on battle.net. Making maps is what makes sc so fun.
