Heim I tried that. It seems spells are extremely finicky, and doing anything but what they were specifically used for in the game tends to muck them up more often then not. Some can be used to alternate effect, though. Don't ask me for specifics (I just started messing with mods not too long ago).

I wish modding was easier...

It wouldn't require a mod, but sadly it doesn't work anyway. I tried setting the weapon damage for lockdown in the UNIS/x sections of the CHK via hex but it didn't do any damage. There's some small chance that it would work with other spells, but I doubt it.

Now, with a mod you definitely could do it, since there are some spells that do damage (i.e. psi storm, nuke, etc).

with a mod you can make the ghost shoot lockdown as his ordinary attack from the first place.

Yet, mods can't be downloaded thru bnet so map tricks are better.
