What Volka is saying is interesting though... I never actually thought of 2 sides to the community. That mean, in some ways, that it's actually bad since 70% of the community PLAYS SC, and the other 30% just make maps or make websites about SC; about replays...

Seperating the BW community isn't a good thing, tell me O_O

BTW I've started playing alot more recently. Everyone should just play a couple of other games, it will surely put them in again happy.gif (*coughMikecough* ??)

It is pretty interesting, although i wouldn't say its a bad thing... well it is a bad thing that one side only makes maps and the the other side just plays but this way there is always something new and great for the people to play. But it would be better if it were more mixed people who made maps mostly and played a little or people who played most of the time but dabbled in map making.

Now that's just plain pointless... We all know the majority of the Battle.net community only plays maps such as Golems, cats and mice, [insert name here] madness, RPGs and bounds. These maps, in themselves (except bound + RPG maps) are usually made out in a hurry, and I should say, even most RPGs out there are just made to "evolve, kill the bad guy" (as Chu stated in his RPG-considering topic). Do you see anyone playing HBC around? No. Haunted House? Hardly...

People need to also learn where to find great maps, and we've got alot here (+ affiliates, of course)... Go wonder...

Well i guess we are all welcome to our own opinions i just believe that the free flow of maps (ideas) even be horriable ones is still a flow of ideas. It allows the community to grow and not just restrict it. Of course there will be the elite map makers out there and when the people play there maps they will know who to go to for good maps. And no i dont just see people playing those kinds of maps, obviously the majority is because alot of people enjoy the rigged kind of BS that most people make and thats fine... im not making maps for those kinds of people and i dont think most of us either (They are the so called "Version People") but you do get people who really do enjoy good maps such as the maps Panzer_Kavalier make (Resident Evil:Raccoom City) which is a great map and everyone loves that map and i still see it played widely on battle.net

Well, the only 3 people from SENET I regularly see on bnet are DeathKnight Shadow Paladin and Mini Moose. I only have 8 people on my friends list, because I could care less whos I'm on. I play with anyone who messages me, and Im gonna play on weekends again!

I think Yoshi should reimplement the B.Net name part of a profile, so people would put it there. It could help us have games when we are all conicidentally on, which would be fun! It should be too hard to do, right Yoshi? You've done it once...so...yeah...

That wouldnt be a bad idea really, it would be interesting to play some of the SEN people on B.net and it would be easy for others to look up new comers names just be viewing their profile.
