My computers have often simply died and refused to start. Forever. Isn't that a crash?

Yes Aster that would be a crash.

I just had a freeze today with a few BSOD...maybe loading that 300 mb PSD file wasn't that smart with 5 other programs running. Anyways, that hardly ever happens anymore at home nowadays, and considering I'm running 98 SE, that's a good record. Though I have a backup copy of it in another Linux parition, ready to format and restore my Windows back to its original state, so i do it every 3 or 4 months.

Anyways, I find that Macs are ackward to use, due to the fact that they only have one button. I still use it for my Media Arts course, and considering they're G4s (like Pentiums IIIs), they run really fast in therms of video rendering. We're going to have a Mac lab next year, and about five G5s too, which are even faster at rendering, and stuff.

Windows however, isn't just cut out for heavy duty video rendering. It just...well...freezes and locks up after a while.

Just something I'd like to point out, many reviews shows that the best system to run Microsoft Office is...a Mac. Go figure.

Anyways, I'll just stick with my copy of OpenOffice in Windows.

Win98 cant multitask for beans. You need XP and to pump your memory (I got 512). With 98, the max programs you should run is like 2 or 3.

Not really, if it isn't that memory intensive (a.k.a. what I tried to do), it can handle about 10 programs no real problem. I just don't like XP, I find it more complicated than Windows 98 SE/2000. Just my opinion of it, I know it's supposed to be simpler and more user friendly, but networking and sharing is a real pain.
