um... first, he just doesnt like the Xbox. and Second, like i said, we are used to our own controllers. For me the Xbox controller is messed up beuz im used to putting my fingers in a certain place, but after a matchup of Halo im mostly fine wit it..

I'm not used to teh original one, so I got two madcatz. Unfortunately, both are broke now, but still work. Ones L trigger is super sensitive, you can just put your finger on it, and then you chunk a grenade in Halo. The other one (One I use) doesn't stop rumbling once it stops, unless you pause the game, so, :/

I had a cool ps2 controller with a weird design, stix, and a turbo button. (Turns a pistol into an M4) But the Stick broke, dunno how, i wasnt there when it happened. So now im back to the black n grey controller.

Ps2 controllers-

Black- R1 gets stuck. R2 gets stuck every 6 months
Grey- Buttons dont go in far enuf

New Blue Controller- Godly.

I'm not a PS2 zealot. I like it, but I really prefer Starcraft above anything else. I only have about three games for PS2, the rest are just PS1 games. Do you wear Halo t-shirts, go only on Halo websites, and write Halo on your arm when you're not doing anything? There's a kid in my class that does that. But then again, why get a small controller if the games suck? Sure, I can get the Xbox ports of the good games, but what's the point? All the games I want right now, (about... two), are PS2 only.

I am not a freak about Halo, but I will defend it. I actually, recently QUIT playing Halo 2, and started playing Counter-Strike. And, the PS1, is ok, as.. it has many good games.. Like - Tecmo's Deceptions, CastleVania: SotN, RE3, RE2 -.- , RE1. And others, but I can not stand the PS2.

I dont just decide "i aint gonna play this no more!" I might slowly fade out of a game after years... Whatever.

thats pretty crazy but I know tons of people who have xbox that hasnt started a fire. Maybe its not happening here In Canada, only with the poopy US xbox's

I'd rather play Devil May Cry 3 or God of War than Halo 2, I'd rather play Tekken 5 than Dead or Alive, I'd rather play Gran Turismo 4 than Forza Motorsport, And I'd rather play Doom 3 and Half Life 2 on Computer. And plus, PS2 has all the anime games that I like. Does Xbox have any GOOD anime games? I meant good as in a good game, not a good anime.

I think you misread my post. I said that Ps2 has mediocre HARDWARE, not games. Ps2, in my opinion, has many many many better games. Theyve been in the busines longer. They know what theyre doing. THATS why they were able to keep up with everyone else.


Its impossible to "prove" that a certain system has better games, because thats a matter of opinion. But you CAN prove that a system has better specs than another, because instead of comparing opinions, youre comparing numbers.

Personally, if xbox has a port of a game, Im getting it over the ps2 version. Smoother graphics, quicker load times, and no need for them blasted memory cards all lead me to prefer xbox versions of games over the ps2 versions.

I usually leave my xbox on 24/7. I just dont really care, lol. But *unfortunately) I bought mine when they first came out (At the low low price of 350$!!!) so I have the crappy CD-drive that decays. Its getting to the point where I cant play a brand new disk without the xbox telling me it isnt an actual disk 4-5 times.

Same here with my ps2. Im tired of getting the same thing as you so im getting it repaired for free.

Just wondering, how would that effect better games? Sony doesn't make games, developers do, and then sell it to them.

When these systems first came out gamecube, xbox, and ps2 I read how gamecube wouldn't get many games because of the tiny disks, which turned developers away.

Another thing, since there was a ps1 before a ps2 then developers who have made current prequels on ps1 would likely choose ps2 to continue making games on. Ps2 is backwards compatible too.

Techinically, if your saying Ps2 has been in the gaming industry longer, "it knows" what its doing, then Nintendo should be slapping the other systems around, because Nintendo was here long before Sony.

But PS2 was always a step farther. While Nintendo was making those Nintendo/SNES stuff, Sony made like awesome TV/Electronics. N64 < PS2. Gameboys/DS < PSP (Not talking about price, just the quality), Gamecube < PS2.

Yeah, Xbox is so much of a better system. I would've gotten it if Xbox had better games at the time, but since PS2 had like games that I liked (Gran Turismo, Tekken, RPGs, Anime games) I got PS2.

You aren't taking into account how radically different the gamecube is, which in this case makes it bad. Such as the small discs would discourage a lot of developers. Many people also think nintendo is just for kids.

Like he (^) said. Nintendo appeals to a different audience. Also, I may be wrong in saying this, and please correct me if I am (I hate thinking the wrong thing) but gamecube has the weakest specs of any of the systems. It also has a small game library (compared to the playstation series).


Also, Nintendo diverts a lot of its efforts into its handheld industry, which is DOES rule over (with the exception of the PSP....hehehe.)


THATS why Nintendo doesn't rule over everyone.



**Oh, and true, Sony themselves doesnt develop the games, but they DO decide what games do purchase from the other companies. They have been in the business long enough to sort of figure out whether or not a game will be a flop or not. Most of the time.
