Heres a summary of what i can remember. i heard this about 2 weeks ago.

Channel 7 News. New York, and throughtout the tri-state area.
'Xboxs have recently starting to catch on fire. lately these Xboxs have been catching on fire from a wire fault that Microsoft made. This has happened to [Not sure how many, just ALOT] people and there has been [about...3] minor injuries. Microsoft has known about this for SEVERAL months. They never wanted to tell because they didnt want to say it if they didnt have enough supplies to replace everyones.' (In other words, they would instead of save alot of people and -risk- not having all of the supplies for everyone, just wait for a half of a year and then let people get their lives risked, then replace them)

thats all i can remember. I didnt lie, and i tried to underexaggerate just in case i was wrong. (30 people mighteve been injured) heres a link.

lol j/k well anyway, actually the xbox that will catch on fire are only between the months between september-november so check your lables on the bottom, so if you got one of those....use the warenty and get a new one....YOUR LIFE COULD BE AT RISK from your xbox

i'm not spechless and i know a lot of other people arn't either because A LOT of people allready knew about this and they either saw it on the news or there friends allready told them, actually this is january news so this forum is kinda useless...well actually i guess not since at lest 10 or more people probably didn't know about this on SEN

So really this is pointless because everyone with an Xbox has a new cord...

Yes, it is the power source but they did nothing to fix it, unfortunately.... The cords don't really do anything.

As you can see, it has to do with a lack of solder on the power supply. If you re solder it, it's perfectly fine. And I'm pretty sure that only Xboxes produced within a certain month/2 months were effected. And besides, it shows how much smarter Microsoft is then Sony. Instead of copying a patented thing, they make a really good cover up. Meh, Xbox still rules PS2.

When it comes to not breaking any laws, it hasn't been owend (as far as I know of.) As for everything else... It isn't owned. It can't be owned because it sucks to much to be owned (in my opinion).

dude the reason they caught on fire is maybe because they leave the power on.. my cousin, Ethan has a ps2, he keeps it on day till night he turns it off. my other cousin, Josh keeps his on a game 24/7. they leave it on because they are stupid, lazy, and / or retarted. you dont leave a system on. no wonder they got injured they should have. also if you have an xbox i got an email from (2) months ago telling me i could get a new cord. if they dont read the email their problem. so they deserved it. xbox still ownz the ps2!

Trust me, if PS2 wasn't all about the money, Xbox would be horrible with no games and PS2 would have all these exclusives. Xbox just steals exclusives from Sony with money. PS2 would have soooo many exclusives like GTA, but Xbox just bought it off them.
