Chu, if you dont like it, leave.
im so dead

See, it's comming to a point in this world where a person cant even voice their own
ing opinion.
Hey chu, why didn't you do us a favor listen to him?
I try to defend my valid points and in return I practically get flamed. Farty why don't you learn to be a little more respectful of other opinions and a lot less ignorant and condescending.
well, you did pretty much flame and shun his idea of making this program to stack things FOR people. All he's trying to do is make mappers lives a little easier. And if you don't like it? Then simply nevermind it, and don't use it. For the people who like to stack, they will
exactly. You can say, "Meh, this program isnt that great because XXX"
But not "Personally I find this whole program idea stupid. Anyone can stack, all it requires is that you read the tutorial and test your results in the program. And the whole stacking thing is dumb in the first place, it adds nothing to a map but annoying shadows."
Its nawt stupid now...
Wth? I just said WHY the program isn't great? Apparently people can post "OMG COOL" and "YES MAKE IT THAT WOULD BE GREAT" but no one can say "This is a stupid idea because ...".
Why cant you just let EVERYONE voice their opinion and shut the
up?
You were just saying its stupid because anyone can stack (not true, I know many people who couldn't make a stack at all) and you were saying test two times and boom a stack. Also not true because sometimes they are "stubborn" and also; people
do like stacking. And also you don't have to be a bitch about everything.
ADDITION:
Also, you
weren't saying "I don't like this because, etc." You were just saying you think its stupid. If you were saying "I don't like this because, etc." it would be more like "Personally I do not like this because
some people may not like stacking because it adds an annoying shadow and makes it hard to read." Had you said it more like that, I would have cared less.
But instead:

I may have said this before, but some people can't stack. At all.
I cant stack. I never EVER do it.
Why do people even do it? Sure people admire it, sure it takes skills. But WHY? What does it actually add to the map? It just makes it harder to read

Are you people blind? Seriously? Go back and read my post. No, here, let me quote it here FOR you.

Now I don't know what you're reading. But I'm reading ME saying how I feel this program is stupid throwing out a couple very valid points. All you're reading is the first 7 words of my post then ignoring the rest. Stop treating me like I'm attacking you directly or I'm flaming you because I'm not. And it's very condescending of you to think that you can reply like an asshole because you failed to see the points made in my post.
If you're not going to at least ackowledge that that is what I said then don't even bother replying because this is taking up space in YOUR thread and I'm only going to continue to reply to every post you make that shows you don't understand what I'm trying to do here. Which is simply voice my opinion.
I devided each line of what you said into a quote, and put a comment.

Directly saying its stupid when people would actually use this and enjoy this program.

Not any one can stack, the tutorials are where I went when I was trying to figure them out. I tested over 50 times and it never worked.

And the whole stacking thing is dumb in the first place, it adds nothing to a map but annoying shadows.
The annoying shadows and hard-to-read text is because people often mix colors that should not be mixed. If you put light green on white, that won't work too well (depends on where). If you put light green on green, you can't read it. if you put red on green, it looks good. red on white looks good. etc.
Plus,
Some (not saying all) people like the stacked text. They think it looks cool. (Except when you mix non-mixable colors)
i liek ligth green over white, it makes it look, like SEN for some reason.
Personally, i dont like testing out to seeif my stack works. It'd waste 10 minutes of my life. Why not make life easier? Its like a translator program, you eventually guess what the other guy is saying if he repeats it enough times, but with the translator, you can figirue it out in the first try!
Want to know what this actually does? I had to test stack every possable thing, so actually it is being tested; just not by you!
Farty, I just wanted you to understand that I think I had as much right to say that as any other comment towards the program. I respect the fact that you disagree with me and I understand that some people may have problems stacking, but I've never experienced problems with it the few times I used stacking so I never thought anyone else really would because it was easy for me.
I also would like you to understand that you could have said it a little... nicer. Also you may have wanted to think about other people a little more before you just said that? Some people when you teach them how to stack they learn how in 5 minutes (like my friend; you were probably one of them too). other people it takes a really long time (like me). But once anyone figures out how they can do it good. But it still takes time for the testing, so I decided I would just make a nice little program that reduces the testing by 100%.
I have Objectives and Forces done. I am trying to think of what to do next...
- Forces *Done*
- Objectives *Done*
- Scenario Map Name
- Scenario Description (Very minor, not needed. may not even do)
- Briefing (Text)
- On Screen / Triggers
- Unit Names
If there is something I missed, please tell me.
- In-Game Mission Objectives
And, if you don't do Scenario Desc., then it won't be able to Stack EVERYTHING like you said it would be able to do Wanna make do
Everything then once I am done I'll start *trying* tripples.
Nothing has happened in a while except I am currently working on just a basic setup for it. (Yes alot of buttons and stuff
do do something). I will post the *html* soon. NOTE: It will not
actually stack.
It will only disable "Yellow" and "Light Green" when needed. And the "About" button works. Also If you type in the text boxes near the "Start!" button; then click them, the text will be highlighted automatically.
You will get an alert if you press "Start!"
This, for now, is just to mess around with. (I hope this will be somewhat like the real thing...)
ADDITION:
Forgot to mention about the numbers at the bottom, they are just the hex codes for window colors (so I could make that table look like an actual program
. Im a cheater
).
Trying triples? Are you kidding me?
Triples are far easier than doubles. If you need some help PM me and I can give you some examples in a flash.
3x = EASY...
Some are hard though. Thats why I said trying.
I can tripple in:
Objectives, Scenario Name, Scenario Description, Unit Names, and Forces.
the Display (Triggers) never would work, same with Leader Board
OMG! I forgot leader board. That is very difficult because you have to have a completely different stack for 0&2=9, 1, 10&12-19, 11, 20&22-29, 21, etc.Umm, testing stacking shouldn't be too hard. It seems like it would be pretty easy if you use the string view in SCM draft.
That doesn't put the correct text widths...
It turns out I was able to stack quite easily using starforge.
It's the colors that are giving me trouble in starforge
It gets wierd because the colors are different in single player and battlenet.
The colors shouldn't be different. Also you can stack anywhere, as long as you have the little byte things. And you are still blindly stacking because if stacks work, it is still incorrect. (I think, never tried)
