Description:
Type a word and set a color for the top and the bottom, press Start and it pops up some text (with the colors, backs, fronts, and tabs.) and you copy it and put it in a map. When you play the map a PERFECT stack! ohmy.gif
This is not intended for noobs to just use and make themselves look like there 1337 stackers, its to help us lazy people of StarCraft to stack without any trouble (except on my part...).

Right now I am working on Objectives stacking, and me and LordVodka were discussing ideas of what it (Objectives stack) should look like. So I made this image:
[attachmentid=8244]

After making that I relized with the colors it just shows them. I was too lazy to fix it, but it will be "Top Colors:" and "Bottom Colors:" and just put a box or something around them.

If you have any ideas or whatever, post here. (I am still doing some of the "research" so I havn't actually started much on the program itself.)

Additions:

Forgot to mention the green Dark Archon is my little thing... When I finish you will notice its everywhere. tongue.gif

And the "Å", "Æ", "Ç", "È", and "É" will be a list of symbols to put into it. (So you don't have to type them)

-

The "Etc." under "Options" will just be options, I didn't want to do more than I needed to show the example, so I just put that.

Sounds great! but its obviuosly not a mac program.

I'll try and find a way MAC users can users it.

Should make the 'Objectives' say like 'Credits' me things ^_^
Also, do you really think it necessaryto take up two slots just for the colors? And don't forget the Invisible Color ^_^

[and Puni! STAY AWAY FROM MY COLOR!!]

I said I messed up and was too lazy to fix it.
The left one will be bottom, the right one will be top.

And why would you stack if you can't see the stacked work??
For all we know, invisible could be the blank under Gray blink.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LordVodka on 2005-04-24 at 21:54:40
Ack, nevermind, there was an idea to it, but, it'd only prove to be more tedious work tongue.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)FaRTy1billion on 2005-04-24 at 22:28:00
If you put the objectives as "Credits" then the example is credited?

I would also like to mention that any ideas you put and I use, you will be in credits/TYs. (applies to everyone)
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LordVodka on 2005-04-24 at 23:05:32
Well, it doesn't matter, the example for the program is just like a little, well, example of what you can do with this right? So, why not? It's not hurtin' nothing
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)FaRTy1billion on 2005-04-24 at 23:10:24
That example is what I plan on making the Objectives stacking part look like.

I will give each part of it its own little design.

You should remember what we were saying in the shoutbox.

I'll put a few quotes in this later.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LordVodka on 2005-04-24 at 23:13:22
Well, it just seems to me, that Objectives going into an example, then shifting over to crediting and such doesn't seem professional(sp?).

Couldn't really find anything in shoutbox me and LordVodka said, except this:
QUOTE
for units make so its my Green Dark Archon selected. and the unit name is the example. (This is a program that generates the stack and you copy the code into your map).

The unit options will be where the Order and Spells go.

I do not understand what you are trying to say...

That example picture will be what I base the Objectives part off of.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LordVodka on 2005-04-24 at 23:20:44
I'm saying, it doesn't look good going into two unrelated things with the one heading of Objectives.

Objectives
Example-/ \-Credits

You have two unrelated subjects there for objectives, is what I'm getting at. Like, You need to either perhaps split up the Objectives box to two to make it look nice, or, just rid of the word completly?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)FaRTy1billion on 2005-04-24 at 23:26:25
I tried splitting it with that "=---------------------------------------------=" thing, should I make it one of thoes red lines or something? or should I put "Extras" for the title or something? Give an example?

Addition:
Its three;
 1. Example
 2. Made By
 3. Thanks to:

Although 2 and 3 are the same... owell I don't know.

What are you programming in?
I'd love to help, but my knowledge of anything that isn't web-based it limited.

But still, looks great...

What's the maximum number of stacks?

Hey, a chance to show off...

ADDITION:
Looking closer at that screenshot, why not throw a scrollbar on the colors list and leave the 4th box for something else?

Still deciding what will be fastest/smallest. What do you know?

Because I am making a stacking program means I know this?

QUOTE(RexyRex @ Apr 24 2005, 08:33 PM)

I am using some ways I have found always work (Like objectives, I am only using tabs. I can start from the smallest stack possable, till it gets too big to fit two of the same word on 1 line)

The 3rd box will be for "Bottom Color" (May have scroll bar, depends on what fits), 4th will be for top. I noticed the error of continuing after I had done it. Didn't really wanna fix then (Taken long time to do that).

The 2nd box (Options) will possably have "Double Stack" and "Tripple Stack" depending on if tripple has a pattern, or an easy enough way.

Some things require no tabs at all. tongue.gif
Two examples in Mission Objectives:
WWWWWWWWWW (10 'W's)
@@@@@@@@@@@ (11 '@'s)

just put [Back][one of thoes 2 examples][Front][Same (or different) example]

And it will work. tongue.gif

Code it with C++!! That way if you send the source to me I can recompile it for Macs!

Heheh, SB, that sounded more like a demand tongue.gif.
...
But anyways, I like the idea of a scrollbar for the colors in there. More extra space for some random little thing to throw in there. And Extras sounds good. Well, it sounds better than Objectives. By the way, I know it had nothing to do with the actual program itself, I was just mentioning that so you can make it look all proffesional and awesome.

I was thinking... Why have it 640x480 pixels? Sure it would look cool... but think about hoe big that is...

Any ideas?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LordVodka on 2005-04-25 at 19:47:27
Why NOT have it be that big?

The size is fine, leave it.

Code it in VB so I can help tongue.gif
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)FaRTy1billion on 2005-04-25 at 20:32:07
I can only script on a bot with VB (I think thats VB...). Besides, if I was to do it in VB I would have my friend do it.

This VB thingy I found said I need Windows 2000 or greater. I have windows ME (98)

Also with a 640x480 size, just to make a quick little stack? Wtf? that example is that big. amagine the program with that, plus the extras.... On my computer (800x600) that would take more than 80% of the screen. (640x480 is 80% of 800x600, then add the border stuff)

I will try and see if I can get it in C++.

Want to make available to everyone. tongue.gif

Again with the size:
What if someone has there screen set to 640x480? The part with the image etc. would take up the entire screen. ermm.gif

Can you make C++ a not-DOS thing? Like with text boxes?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by LordVodka on 2005-04-25 at 23:59:21
Hmm... I thought you couldn't even play StarCraft on that small of a resolution?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by O)FaRTy1billion on 2005-04-26 at 00:00:54
Starcraft IS 640x480.... noob lol.

Addition: Proof:
Take a screenshot, look at the attributes, 640x480
Ever had a crash where your screen doesn't reset to your normal size? its on 640x480.

(Need more? My brain isn't working for the moment)
