And Elites are apparently stronger than them.
A Brute, whether with a Plasma Rifle, Giant Gun With a Blade(Bruteshot...), or Not-Carbine do less melee damage than an Elite does with any weapon. Try it, in Legendary an Elite will kill you in one hit with a melee, Brutes take two.
May just be me, but Hunters look far taller than Brutes(even when hunched over in combat position), not to mention stronger(they send you flying and knock crates around like nothing) and more durable(a Flare hardly does crap to them).
And anyways, Brutes are the least cool of all the Covenant. Woohya, Grunts'll own their too-humany arses anyday!

EzDay is right there, in the Halo 1 manual(not sure if it still counts for Halo 2) it says that the Hunters are 8 foot tall when hunched over. But they are 12 foot tall when actually standing up. If Brutes were stronger than why can't they take down the Chief? You also need to read the first page, nothing from the books. Just from the games.

The answer is simple. He has recharging energy shields, which means that he can, theoreticaly, given time, survive an infinite amount of damage.

Samus is enhanced by chozo blood, they're almost the same physically but samus has better weapons

Samus does not die from being hit in the head. Makes sense, too, seing as she has a helmet. One that looks comfortably thick and large, unlike the Masterchief's small one that looks like it's only half a centimeter thick or so.

ok in full body armour master chief is 7.0, and weighs 1000 lbs, he couldn't run fast enough to catch samus
